Mine is Raven (not that creative, given), which was a simple anagram of Revan, my nickname in games before as well as an animal that had characteristics that describe me well/i like. Ravens are relatively intelligent, can work in packs but arent limited to, their feathering is simple yet elegant and they are birds which are a commonly associated with freedom and independence and lots of other positive associations. At the same time they are almost entirely black, which in conjunction with the bird aspect always gave me the feeling that they represent a morally gray or tainted aspect, which gave me the feeling that Raven represented me more than calling myself Hawk or Ra or sth along those lines.

Ive got two names i go under, in sc2 its currently Elijah (aka Elijash) its a mix between my real name and just "jash" added pretty much, cuz using my real name in a game would be to gay imho. and it sorta stuck on me..

also, i use the name tac0(tac-0) alot and im mostly called that. and the reason for that name is because of my brother, he and i have watched a anime serie called Welcome to the N.H.K and in that serie the guy go online and call himself sa10(his real name is sato) so brother nicked Sat-O, and i just picked tac-0 to make it look a bit fun

Drake's are the "Blue" Dragons in Magic the Gathering, (only the red card dragons are called dragons) who are not as strong as the red dragons but smarter often with spells etc

as i was a blue deck player ... well damn i was eleven years old it just sounded nice the card looked nice ... xD

From my WoW times. In around 2007 or 2008 (iirc) when I was rerolling and rolled a druid and was sitting looking at that name screen trying to come up with something... An idea flashed into my head to mangle Malfurion and Illidan together... Hey presto Mallidon came into being and its been my online name ever since.

Alphard - it's the name of a star, the alpha star of constellation Hydra. It also means "the solitary one" in Arabic. I came across this few years ago when I was very interested in astronomy and I liked it, so it has been my nickname everywhere since then.

Flood is an homage to one of my favorite bands, Tool (a song off of their debut album Undertow), as well as an homage to the Halo game series, which everyone knows is pretty awesome. Overall I feel it is a pretty fitting name for SC2 as well, would be even more so if I'd play zerg

My standard gaming handle has gone from:

Furious George (CS noob)
MajiN (CS amateur)
VisceN (CAL-P smurf tag) (I was just typing random words in the English -> Norwegian translator, it means "fish" but looks cool)
MajiN - XXXXXX( X's are last name, used for CAL)
MAJN - SSBM tourney

Then WoW came along, and my new standard became "Crownless", based both on the song from Nightwish and on the poem from LoTR. Adding "lol" after your name became a thing to do in season3, kind of tounge-in-cheeky, and when I had to realm transfer and "Crownless" was taken, in came Crownlol. That spurred a number of other toons like "Snaredlol", "Fearedlol", and "Burstlol". Since "Crownless" is often taken as a handle on various forums and websites, keeping Crownlol just seemed to make sense.

Im a musician and one time when I was under the influence of alcohol (absynthe to be more precise), I began to say that I was the reincarnation of Mozart and other stupid shit, after that night my friends to make fun of me called me baby Mozart, I find it quite hilarious and embarrasing at the same time and my friends who play starcraft always lol when they play against or with me with the username.

Raiden, because at the time when i was playing Wolfenstein, i was really young and a massive pain to everyone, trolling chat and being a general idiot, that and at the time everyone who played MGS2 from where i lived reaaaaally hated the introduction of Raiden as the main character, so even though i didn't play MGS (i know right wtf is wrong with me) i decided that name fit perfectly. I have since realised that it is a very very common name, so in CSS i put Raiden-God, which was a reflection on my skill (low- in reality), then i turned about 18 and decided that god after it was super sad, and just stuck on Raiden. My reasoning behind the name makes it unique to me, even if it isn't to other people.
