There was a translated article that stated he made over $400k in 2010. In 2010 he made 6 OSL/MSL finals if you average $30k per appearance (this is roughly what they were paid, but my recollection is a bit shaky at this point) that gives at least a $220k salary from KT in 2010. Some of that definitely included bonus because of winning 2009-2010 PL finals (KT is best KT!).

that's hardly a secret that top broodwarers made that much in the heyday but times are tougher now in korea, sc2 less popular, and the teams are tightening their belts.

First off, regarding brieN's original comment about them not making anywhere near the top foreigners salary wise. That's just false.
I remember ESFI reporting Stephano making $8k a month in salary and Parting got something like $70 k for 8 months IIRC for SKT. (feel free to correct me since I'm too lazy to dig up original sources).
While it isn't going to be 200k/year salary for TBLS. I'd say the top few Korean pros are still doing quite well comparatively (not as well obviously). It still sucks bad for the lower end players of course, but it has always sucked for them.
