It is very nice to see such a dedicated and beautiful woman playing sc2.Also very modest. Her attitude and approach of the game is extraordinariy considering the competitive environment that is sc2.I would definetly love to see her and eve play in the na or eu wcs qualifiers to see how good they are.Do not think they stand a chance in the kr tournaments but they could defintley handle some eu and na scrubies

That was a nice interview. She seems to be a likeable person. I hope she works hard and gets to play sometime.

Pandering is an affect, not an effect.

You pander to someone, whether that someone feels pandered is irrelevant. It is possible to "fail" to pander to someone.

For example, I might try to pander to vegetarians--by offering raw steak. They would be disgusted, but that doesn't mean I didn't try pandering to them.

A "male" not *feeling* pandered does not mean he wasn't pandered.

Yeah it's a bit unfortunate that she selected a name that carries a lot of negative baggage to western viewers.

I don't care if the player is a male, female, or a monkey pretending to be half-Swedish. She needs results.

I'm not sure why you're saying this--since she said she wants to prove herself to her team before she wants to be sent out...

I also always have to think of this guy when I hear "Barbie".

Btw I felt sorry for her when I saw the video. She seems like a nice and sincere person, but I am sure she will never make it.

too bad she does not have blonde hair :p
but the part of her getting new builds from creator worries me. It indicates that she is not capable of stealing builds off of better opponents, let alone create her own, and just repeat the couple builds she learned over and over, for 10-12 hours a day, like so many progamers out there. Maybe I'm just reading too much into it, would be awesome if her hard training would actually pay off. Or if she would cook for me. :p

It also indicates that she's actually busy worrying about mechanics instead of becoming a genius bonjwa.

I don't think TL can ban someone for stating some truth in a very touchy subject.

All prejudice aside. Regardless of the fact that Scarlett is a community member or very skilled SC2 player bringing her up as the poster example of a female gamer IS a difficult subject, and certainly leaves room for discussion either way. Though his comment might not have been the most friendly im not sure the content of your comment holds any real relevance for THAT particular discussion either.

well the half swedish monkey could have his 1st arm on the mouse, 2nd and 3rd on the keyboard and his 4th arm on his 5th arm ! I'd be cheering for that monkey
