Horrible rationale, diminishing what Papa John's is trying to do in the political arena by stating that "it's ok to preach screwing your employees because everyone else is doing it privately". So you mean there's a private company out there who's sole rationale is to maximize profits??! Thats absolutely audacious.

People tend to forget this for some reason, but people are allowed to have differing opinions and still be civil. Even if the CEO of Papa John's *is* anti-gay, and anti-Obamacare (this one seems more likely), that doesn't mean we should hate him, nor hate his entire company, nor be against Papa John's entering into the e-sports arena. This is *exciting*. I may not agree with their political stances, but I can still be excited. You're never going to find a company where you agree with the political stances of each and every employee on 100% of the issues. It's ridiculous to assume you could, and it's ridiculous to assume that disagreement with some or any of the persons working for a company means you can never purchase from that company, and that you must hate that company. Those persons can have their opinions, and so can we. But this is really big news, and we should, as a community, be excited. Regardless of whether we disagree with the political agenda of persons who work for this company.

I heard private companies are allowed to do what they want because they are... private independent companies with CEO's that have opinions of their own? You call them intolerant but to do so makes you intolerant of their opinions making you as intolerant as them No, I'm saying that pushing a political agenda against lower-class and minorities publicly is disgusting and doesn't help their business at all. In fact, it's already destroying their business. See article below: Forbes Article on Papa Johns Where was Papa John's anti gay? I know Chik-fil-A said some dumb shit but I never heard anything homophobic from PJ's. They aren't. People are just incredibly ignorant and like to circle jerk against papa johns but not any of the other companies that are far worse because hating papa johns is popular and le reddits. I wish mods would start banning theses idiots. I agree. Although I don't agree with everything they said during the whole healthcare debate, they at least talked about the issue in public, rather than doing back door deals in an attempt to kill issue. I would rather everyone have a public debate than just bury the issues in lobbying money. I don't know where this anti gay crap came from. I am glad they are supporting TL and the rest of the teams.

Especially considering the probability of the same people complaining about papa johns that enjoy anything with an apple logo on it. Slave labor vs hateing on something that slightly hurts your bottom line. Reddit just has its priorities straight. I still have no idea how the hell people think buying pizzas at 50% off is somehow going to help papa johns.

Are you dense? Papa John's is doing the promotion, why would they bring up other companies? Why are you trying so hard to appear above this? I'm bringing up other companies because people are not applying the same standards to them that they are applying to Papa John's. If Papa John's crosses the line of being too evil to support for some people, then those people must be incredibly careful about vetting every product they buy because a great many companies are over that line. I'm not trying to appear above this, I'm just frustrated by people shitting over a good step forward for eSports with the flimsiest faux outrage. Trying to take the moral high ground when they don't actually give a fuck about the morals behind the products they buy, just jumping on a media instigated bandwagon. It's a joke. And some of the justifications are even more ridiculous. "Oh yeah other companies may do shit 100x worse but Papa John's are openly being cunts, that clearly makes them so much worse"
