we must reach tier 7 and 8 OMG
|
Regarding not supporting Papa John's because of their healthcare stance, just look at it like this:
- the overall positive affect this will have on Papa John's is VERY minimal - the overall positive affect this will have on ESPORTS is significant, depending on which tier is reached
The goal here is to prove that doing promotions through ESPORTS is viable. If you hate Papa John's, just think of it as a way to lure other companies in.

Waiting until later tonight, but I have my order sitting on the last menu before shipping. Absurdly cheap and great for the community. What can be better?

will buy at least twice this week

How many people have to order for each tier?

Are you dense? Papa John's is doing the promotion, why would they bring up other companies? Why are you trying so hard to appear above this? I'm bringing up other companies because people are not applying the same standards to them that they are applying to Papa John's. If Papa John's crosses the line of being too evil to support for some people, then those people must be incredibly careful about vetting every product they buy because a great many companies are over that line. I'm not trying to appear above this, I'm just frustrated by people shitting over a good step forward for eSports with the flimsiest faux outrage. Trying to take the moral high ground when they don't actually give a fuck about the morals behind the products they buy, just jumping on a media instigated bandwagon. It's a joke. And some of the justifications are even more ridiculous. "Oh yeah other companies may do shit 100x worse but Papa John's are openly being cunts, that clearly makes them so much worse" But flimsy faux outrage is what we do best at TL. Why would you try to take away the thing we do best? WHY? You gotta raise the bar man!
No, its my right as a member of the internet to be "outraged" and voice my disapprove about anything and anything, regardless if my opinion matters or not.I will use words like "disgusted", "horrified" and "disappointing" as many times as I need to get my point across. Not only that, but I am able to voice my outrage in a public forum and try to be louder than other members who disagree with me. Anyone who says I am wrong clearly doesn't understand and is just a drone that doesn't have their own opinions. This is the internet and I have my rights!

No. No, no, no. Also, while this is a funny idea, and a great opportunity for the company, why is this showing up for people who turned off all SC2 related content? It has nothing to do with dota2, only SC2 and LoL, two games I don't care about.. T_T

Do you know all of these people? Papa John's is sponsoring esports and with this being an esports community there's going to be a lot more emotion involved. Who sponsors esports is more important than where their tea came from or who made their t-shirt. No one can find every single injustice and correct it. The key is finding the one wrong you want to right above all others. They've apparently found it, don't belittle them by calling them fake.

They do.. but look at what happens at each individual level and tell me how often you read the word "Dota", "Dota2" or anything related to either of the games. I'd prefer to forget about the existence of SC2, hence why I disabled everything about it..
