Y'all gonna end up being pizzaterians. Nice tactic from Papa John's to make you all fat unhealthy pizza addicts. They know that you will blow half your paycheck to support ESPORTS and get ingame skins.
First it was hats, then mechanical keyboards and now pizza's.

Do you think Papa John's is significantly worse than the other places you get your food? Be consistent or drop the hypocritical idealism. Why are you calling him a hypocrite? The reason why Papa John has gotten media attention is because it is noticeably bad in the issues mentioned, even if employees getting screwed over is a common thing among big companies nowadays. And how do you know he wouldn't treat other companies the same way if he were aware of their shady practices?

Papa johns is one of the more virulently anti-healthcare, anti gay companies in the United States. They entered the political arena for absolutely no purpose other than to peddle a ideological agenda. Please get informed. I heard private companies are allowed to do what they want because they are... private independent companies with CEO's that have opinions of their own? You call them intolerant but to do so makes you intolerant of their opinions making you as intolerant as them
No, I'm saying that pushing a political agenda against lower-class and minorities publicly is disgusting and doesn't help their business at all. In fact, it's already destroying their business. See article below:

Haha I hope Tier 7 gets unlocked. I think I might buy pizza every day this week just to see that.

Edit: nvm.
This deal looks good though. Wish it included Canada.

Such big news, I hope Papa Johns comes to Canada!

Holy shit I love Papa Johns. This is amazing, thank you!

I'm a U.S. citizen who is currently living in Mexico. Why the fuck would my living in Mexico not allow me to have an opinion on defending lower-class worker and gay people? Try harder.

Are people against Papa Johns just for their political views? *Facepalm* It has nothing to do with eSports. First you're witchhunting players, now the fucking sponsors themselves. Papa Johns and its officials can have whatever opinion they want. Them having controversial opinions doesn't make them evil. If you don't agree with them, good for you, voice your opinion but don't talk down a good company like Papa Johns just because you disagree with them POLITICALLY. It's their fucking opinion. People, at least in the USA, have a right to an opinion.

If you don't want to give your employees a dental plan, then that's something that's retarded, but it's something every company does and I can't expect myself to live like a hermit because of my views.
However, when someone like Papa John's goes on public record stating this bullshit, and willingly enters the politics like this when they don't have to, in the name of the company and/or with reasoning for the company, when it is completely backwards and anti-human, then they can go fuck themselves.

You've said this twice and I haven't seen anything supporting them being antigay. Another poster also said this earlier in the thread but then removed it because he realized he was thinking of something else...do you have any actual evidence showing this?

So by supporting esports and buying pizzas from them this week you are both hurting pappa johns and supporting esports. I am actually quite disappointed by TL. This company promotes willingly the idea that homosexuals should have less right than others. This is just disgusting. Pecunia non olet. You're quite the unreasonable and unrational person. Mea Culpa http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewpost.php?post_id=18652916 Still stands, regardless of whether you were referring to the right people or not, the connection you made is still stupid. Lets say Papa Johns was against homosexuals, TL wanting to get a sponsorship from them has no bearing on their stance on homosexuals.

It is nice for esports, but at the same time.. Papa John's.. lol.
And then there was the conference call with Papa John’s shareholders earlier this year where Schnatter added, “We’re not supportive of Obamacare, like most businesses in our industry. But our business model and unit economics are about as ideal as you can get for a food company to absorb Obamacare. If Obamacare is in fact not repealed, we will find tactics to shallow out any Obamacare costs (emphasis added) and core strategies to pass that cost onto consumers in order to protect our shareholders best interests.”
On that same call—and on other occasions—Schnatter indicated that the additional cost for a pizza could rise by 11 to 14 cents per pizza, however, Forbes writer Caleb Melby estimates those costs to be closer to 4 cents per pie. + Show Spoiler +
And who could forget "Lady Chinky Eyes"
He has since retracted a lot of what he said, it is clear how he feels about his employee's. Seems like a bit of a sleazy guy to get into business with, I mean really, getting pissed about having to raise prices a few cents to cover healthcare for your staff.. come on.
This guy, and his pizza's.. all I can do is laugh at this news. Good luck with this clown getting his shoe in the door.
