That sounds just weird, it's exactly the thing that makes IdrA IdrA and there was no serious backlash. Just the couple of usual people hating on IdrA. So this sounds like an excuse. If the relationship between IdrA and EG wasn't working, then you should provide the genuine reason. Granted, there is more information being released on SotG. No one cared about that comment until the Polt games.

Funny how Destiny gets more viewers on his LOL stream that 95% of the starcraft streamers...It seems to pay to have hardcore fans

It had very little to do with THIS specific incident. EG would never let him go if he brought tons of eyes to their sponsors.

Cost (high) + Results (low) - bad publicity (high) + good publicity (high) His publicity breaks about even. He has lots of fans, but he is a PR nightmare He is expensive, but doesn't win

Incontrol on SOTG said he didn't want to say how much Idra made, but he said he would 'ballpark it' and then gave the example of a contract of $4,000 - $6,000 a money.

The attitude IdrA has does not mix well with our field. If he brings that and expects to get a degree he will get little else other than that. Physics you need healthy relationships with other physicists in order to succeed.

It's pretty freaky to think about. Who knows what he will end up doing but esports is too ephemeral a living to make for the vast majority of people.

Its weird to see this happen. He was one of the guys who introduced me to Starcraft, and Ive been his biggest fan since, so its tough to see this happen. Kind of like watching your favorite athlete grow old and retire. Makes you realize how things change and how old your getting. I remember watching him and Jinro when they were the best, and now that seems like forever ago. I hope this is a place for him to start turning his career around, but his personality just doesnt have me holding my breath. Hopefully im wrong. Whatever you do Greg, Good Luck and Have Fun.

You, just watching for the BM actually contributed to the BM by pouring more gasoline on the fire. But you need results if you are going to do the BM personality. It's fine to create drama and have good results at tournaments. But when you are basically not top 16 NA anymore, and have continued hatred for the game, your business strategy will go downhill. In then end, you still need to have good showings and tournament placements. Stephano calling BK out for crappy play is justified because he's Stephano. He can back it up since he still top 2/3 zerg in EU. Besides Stephano is not fake, likes to create drama, he is honest but he has to make sure to not step over the line
