Saying that you are happy with your play is being pompus? He is actually quite vocal about how good his opponents is too, and saying how what they're doing is smart etc etc. I have also only heard him say once that he thinks he is better player than idra atm, and quite frankly seeing as idra was on a huge loosing streak against him before he stopped playing alltogether, I don't really think that's being pompus at all. He quite often said positive things about idra aswell, that is to say "if he did that, i'd be dead" "that was a good idea, but he needed to do that also" or something along those lines.
Infact I've always said I just don't understand how Demu has been able to be so civil to idra when idra throws shit his way every chance he gets.

idra on the other hand hasnt accomplished anything the past year,has been acting like a dick towards the community that makes his salary possible.He must think he is a god or something.The truth is he is nobody. When u hear of IdrA u no longer associate that name with his BW skill , you associate it with a person who hasnt grown up yet. And thinks he will be fine with it. Well , he wont. You know why? Because i doubt any team is really interested in him since a lot of other players with lesser expectations of a salary are performing a lot better than him.And they are being respectful to the community and their opponents. It's a shame ... That guy is a little kid that has a lot of growing up in front of him.And when he turns back (i hope he grows and looks back to this) he will say "Why was i being so mad at those people who were making my dream possible.

Seriously, it's getting him a lot farther than Idra who instead of being positive, constantly harrasses those he loses to (which is most people).
To me it looks like it's working out alot better for Demu. He wins games, and still has a team. And he also has a positive mindset, sometihng i've never seen from Idra.

Don't take things out of context. There's nothing pompous about saying you outplay your opponent as part of a replay analysis (which is where he does it frequently). In general, he tends to show a large amount of respect for his opponents on the ladder, regardless if he wins or loses; he frequently comments on how they are good players while at the same time providing constructive thoughts on what mistakes they made that allowed him to beat them, etc.
And there's nothing audacious in saying he's better than Idra (not that I recall him ever specifically saying that). He is a better player. I'm not trying to bash Idra here, but Demuslim's been higher ranked on ladder for a long time and has at least a few recent results of beating really good players.

Idra lived like a monk to get to an extremely high competitive level in broodwar. Then when starcraft 2 came out, a period when he should have reached his competitive game, he found he was playing a game with much more variance than bw and was using a race that was very easy for poor player to take games off of. No wonder he's burnt out.

He says he's playing well when he's playing well. He NEVER talks down his opponents from a personal level, he only points out mistakes. Whenever somebody makes a good play, he is ALWAYS the first one to recognize it. In fact, he goes through replays sometimes just to point out places where the opponent outplayed HIM.
And lets be real. He's had to throw games to Idra so the tension in the house wouldn't get bad. Somebody among the two is pompous, but it sure ain't Demuslim.

I don't watch his stream often, but from what I've seen he's very realistic about his deficiencies as a player. He's usually very complimentary towards his opponents and I haven't seen him act pompous at all. As for calling him bad, well, if you compare him to top Korean players that's no doubt true but compared to Idra? Not at all.
