This. If people want to get online and talk about starcraft2 then they're damn well free to do what ever the fuck they want. If there were 5 shows like this would you all bitch about every single one?

It's dick for employees to quit a company if they don't like the direction the CEO is taking it?
edit: and you even include a caveat about your opinion which completely changes it. As many others have been saying, it's ridiculous to pass judgement on the show based on the hackneyed idea that Artosis is some jackass trying to overthrow JP when you even indicate you don't even know what happened behind the scenes.
Go ahead and critique the show, sure, but that argument is pretty useless at this juncture.
edit2: (not bothering to make a new post because frankly there isn't much substance to warrant it) in regards to your post just below, I'd say that's exactly what's happened here.

Kinda disappointed at how it went down but looking on the bright side, I have something more to look forward each week: sotg, Rollplay and now Meta.

In past SotG episodes, there has been a "part 2" dedicated to metagame discussion, where Artosis, who is obviously much more outspoken than TheOgnis/Moonglade, basically leads the discussion. That section has been getting bigger and bigger and the way I see, Artosis suddenly realized he could just take off and do this himself. So he grabs the format and the guests and just scribbles JP's face out of the picture.

*shrug* I can appreciate that. If SotG is going to continue but with a more news discussion angle and this one with a more metagame (for lack of less obvious wording) angle, I can still see both existing just fine. Is there really enough news in the eSports/SC scene to fill a show though? I'd say sometimes there is, sometimes there isn't. Last year for sure there was due to the mass amount of tournament. This week for sure due to, well, I'd hope most people on these forums would know why. But I definitely see it being more problematic. Maybe something more appropriate for LO3 (although with LO3 sometimes 2hrs just simply isn't enough to do what they want to achieve).
To be honest, I didn't really care to watch SOTG much so I don't know exactly what a normal week was like so this to me isn't good or bad. And now that they have one of my favorite Terran streamers on there, Theognis, it's something I'm thinking of watching every week.

Felt so dirty watching this show. I hope there isn't any bad-blood </3

More importantly, what was the outro song?

Cool, more content is always good. Don't see what everyone's complaining about, if one show's better than another it'll get more views, simple as that. SotG is awesome, Artosis' one looks promising so far, why can't people just appreciate the content instead of whining about it all the time.

The production seems to be really good.
Watching the VOD now, the intro seems to be so much better than what we have right now for our shows.
I like the hosts, having each race represented is really important. I wish you could get a European player so there's one player from each region to comment on their own region, but that can be hard synching Europe, NA, Korea and SEA time zones. I wish tehognis would speak up more, but it's good.
I really like having Catz on shows because he provides a pretty unique perspective as a team owner who still really knows his starcraft.
Not quite halfway through, so I can't comment on all of it, but I like it so far, keep it up

Nothing wrong with the people that will be on SoTG and this, I just hope JP didn't get screwed thats all, he doesnt deserve it imo.
|
I'd be okay with this if Artosis didn't literally take all of JP's guests and then act like nothing was amiss.
There is no word for it other than 'rude' or 'disrespectful', regardless of what you think of SotG. Very uncool, Artosis.
The FGC has 3 talk shows on the same day and they coexist because they have different hosts/guests and talk about slightly different things. (They also cross promote which is awesome)

Do you really think Catz/Moonglade are going to show up on SoTG on Thursday to talk about practically the same things they did tonight? People are pissed because this is probably the end of SoTG until JP can conjure up new hosts/guests. It was more than likely sprung up on JP today that he'd have 48 hours to find new people(outside of Artosis, he knew about that for awhile) for SoTG. We'll have the answer soon I'm sure.

Hi. Could you tell me where to find the VOD please?

Good show. I always watch Artosis whenever he is on something. Seems pretty stupid that everyone is so butthurt about JP and they don't even know the story. Even if they do, it's not like he has a monopoly on shows where community members/leaders talk on Skype about issues relevant to the community. I mean nobody got all pissed off when Mr.Bitter and Rotterdam started casting as a pair for most of their events. "I mean Tastosis invented the casting Archon. How could anybody copy that. That is such a copy. It feels so dirty. And they even call themselves BitterDam. Direct rip off." All garbage. No doubt the two are great friends and JP doesn't give two fucks about this whole deal. Just like Tastosis doesn't give two flying fucks about other casting "archons." Of course there are going to be similarities, but they are as different as Wendy's and Burger King. Both burger joints but everyone has their preferred taste.

I wouldn't place myself under the category of being pissed (or even slightly agitated) but I have to agree that it seems really hard to imagine the same guys going on SOTG in two days without rehashing a lot of the exact same discussions they had here.

I guess the Wendy's/Burger King comparison could work if we're talking about both places having the exact same employees. The caster comparison doesn't seem to fit the situation at all.

I enjoyed it, slick production with a focus on the game itself, hopefully they focus even more on it but this week did have a lot of stuff to go over with the wcs etc The weirdest thing was that it was the exact same people from SoTG but hopefully there'll be some turnover and diversity in this respect.
Still think this show has to find its feet, it is the first one after all, and getting a sweet protoss guest would be really interesting since i'm guessing artosis would pick his brain and get all analytical. The production is good so don't think it'd be too far fetched to actually have some vods as examples to help illustrate points or even start a debate, even if they're like quick highlights of a game or a montage of a certain aspect of play. I know they did a little of this but it was very minor and they didn't focus much on the actual gameplay in the background.
Think in time this should be a fairly different show to SoTG and they can both exist, think the first line up just made it look super bad aswell as not really being quite what Artosis wanted in terms of content. I'm still excited for this, hope it lives up to its potential.

Yes. So its basically State of the Game without JP. I am honestly mostly surprised that Artosis didnt bring in some other guys, maybe some Koreans who wanted to practice their English, maybe someone like Major or Lastshadow who are in Korea. Or Wolf and Khaldor.
