Maybe it's the last years WCS or some players that reached far in the DH/MLG events Would make sense if they invited the players from last years WCS EU and WCS NA. So yea I think they will go with that

Nobodies looking to see a bunch of weak amateurs that do great in online tournaments but get burned by some code B nobody Korean in offline. How is that ANY different from a lot of the foreigners we currently have? How is an amateur supposed to get the funds to fly out to an open qualifier just for a SHOT where he may or may not be successful? Face it, online qualifiers are a necessary evil if you actually want more people to participate in the competitive scene. Or not it's just going to be the same freaking circlejerk we've gotten since WoL beta with 75% of the same players who get propped up in the scene receiving invite after invite. The reason why so many Koreans have come out of nowhere is based off of the open nature of GSL and of course Team Leagues giving lesser known players a chance to impress. The closed nature of western tournaments have stifled the growth of the scene for a very long time. And I want to be very clear that I mean growth in actual competitors, not in viewers or prize money.
