Hey Chan, thnx for putting on a high quality show, but i have to agree with the first comment in this thread. I think Destiny ruins the show with his blatantly racist comments, which he hides under the guise of "humor" or being "unfiltered." Just because the word "unfiltered" is in the title doesn't open the gates to discrimination. I had to shut it off halfway through because it felt like many of the Asian jokes were not being ironically delivered. Destiny admits he is "a racist American" (his words on the show) but that is not sufficient justification for airing his comments. I would be careful, Chan, with the image Destiny is bringing to your otherwise great show.

i dont think blizzard will put work into a mod or custommap. i mean they could change their way of doing business but they didnt do it for bw,wc3 or d2 and thats why their are so anxious about protecting it now
and regarding DotA...im really happy that blizzard did not get all the rights for it just because they dont deserve it. DotA was the most popular custom map in warcraft 3 and it had a huge playerbase plus a pro scene in china. blizzard had to know some numbers yet they did nothing absolutely nothing to support it (did they support 1 tournament?!). of course they had to try and protect "their" ip and safe the name DotA for themselves but im really happy that it didnt work out and a company who does a great job working on their games had the option to make a sequel

Good episode, Kennigit with some good insights as usual. A bit of a reality check for SC2.

Basically, #dead gaem.

It's funny how people still say things like 'step in the right direction,' for instance, in response to Blizzard making the Arcade free-to-play. For a game that's almost 4 years old, it's a bit late to say things like 'step in the right direction.'

The people in Blizz's target demographic are, by and large, not playing SC2. These people have heard about it, or tried it, and decided not to play it. Blizz is not going to get these people to reconsider this late in the game. That ship has sailed. A mod like Starbow isn't gonna change that either. One can hope for consolidation of the current player base, or pulling in the people who watch the game but not play it. Kind of disheartening, esp. since Legacy of the Void is still being worked on, but that seems the way it is.

About the prize pool splitting:

OF COURSE they will split the prize pool. OF COURSE.

My guess is that representatives of the teams who will have players there are talking to each other right now, about the other party's willingness to split the prize. That would be the rational thing to do.
