I've always liked Oz myself, hes a real cool player. Had some real cute innovative PvZ builds in WoL. Either way i feel like both these pickups are real solid and will help them in proleague. I sure hope so! 화이팅! Oz is getting hate? Where? I must defend my beloved Oz!
Forge/Nexus builds and double twilight builds vT, some really cool anti-Stephano builds at various MLGs etc.
Oz sometimes is 'too smart' for his own good with his builds, but they are really interesting for students of the game, at least imo. Oz showed how easily you could dismantle Stephano's style through good preparation, and imo he's never had that aura vP ever since.

Kinda obvious once they left with Hwanni's connections to Fnatic,

Well, you can't say EG has sat on their hands when the going got tough.

JYP has been performing really well considering how well the "star" players are doing. I have certainly become more of a fan of his and can't wait to see how he improves with the new coach.

Ah, so happy for both of them! Congrats!

Be careful on the website guys. It looks like it may have been hacked again. I didn't see any malicious scripts on this particular page, but there's some very shady looking stuff.

i hope Oz goes back to his normal kick ass self. he made code s semi finals if anyone remembers.

Maybe their proleague can be more serious now?

Pretty big pick ups. Excited to see if EG-TL can turn things around. The last month or so has shown how dedicated they are to doing well in PL, and I can't say I'm not impressed.

Ok I've checked and you guys are right.
performance of EGTL players in spl 2012,
Puma 1- 7 Zenio 2 - 6 Revival 4 - 9 Jaedong 7 - 10 Taeja 6 - 6 JYP 10 - 10 Hero 10 - 9
w - l, worst performer to best.

is this real life?
I feel like EG is the new Zerg assimilation successful!

Great news! I want to see EG TL compete for that team title!

Oz is, for my money the best build preparer bar none of Protoss players. He also has passable English and did, iirc some psuedo-coaching in FXO as well. Will be great for team cohesion and for Proleague I can see him being a real useful guy to have around. He may have never really achieved the result I think his play merited, and may never win individual leagues, but for innovative, map-specific builds Oz is king. (That or mancrush speaking)
Alive is pretty much Puma, except probably in a bit better shape of late. Horrendously underrated player, if HoTS doesn't throw him off that is, he's been a top 10 Terran for pretty much the duration of WoL, albeit I'm not sure where he is now especially with the Kespa players inexorable rise.
I think this is a positive sign as well regarding Proleague. If EG wanted players for picking up easy money from foreign tournaments, these two are not really a step up from Puma and there were other potential pickups there who would be great for that purpose. This to me, reading between the lines is EG bolstering their Korea-based players eligible for Proleague. They mightn't salvage this season and make the playoffs or whatever, but I definitely see them salvaging pride for their next run. alive is MUCH more a complete player than puma will ever be smart pickups by eg, really showing that they in fact focus on pl now. wanna see a new tl pickup aswell, cant be all eg :>

It's sad when we know the news before it's even made official. Ugh. Good luck boys. They still need a lot more Terrans.

Definitely agree.

For ProLeague, sounds good. I really hope things turn out well. Invisible Terran and the Strong-but-inconsistent Protoss can be scary; I hope Coach Park can tame the team well.
