The analogy with football in Europe is so off-base. A lot of that regulation pertains to sugar daddies, oligarchs and sheikhs who inject clubs with shitloads of money, to unsustainable degrees.

I'm comparing them to the foreign scene and no one there is barely close in terms of names. Why do these names not perform to their hype is a different problem. Obviously you can't set up a solid competitive roster in Proleague when all your big names are underperforming severely.

Why are you comparing them to the foreign scene? It says in the announcement that these pickups are mainly to bolster their Proleague roster. Team competition outside Korea is a joke anyway so why does it matter what team the players are on? Big props to Take for this Teamstory Cup thing, before that all we had was online matches.

The same sponsors that I can pretty much list because EG actually publicise them well. The same sponsors that sponsor EG for that exposure. Oh but yeah put something in latin to ram home your redundant point in a smug fashion, a point that I am perfectly aware of. Even in 'real' sports the team does not directly earn the biggest football teams their cash. Sponsorship and the TV deals that come with it, global fanbases and merchandising all have an effect as well.
