Hey guys, a lot of you are familiar with my guides on how to mech on the ladder, I wanted to be even more in depth and help out more through showing what is going on during the game and how I think about what is happening.
I double checked with an admin to make sure this was ok and it was verified! So I hope you guys enjoy a look into my mind when I play mech on the grandmaster ladder.
So some information about these is they are 99% from my point of view, I also post losses and and how I could have learned from them, my goal with these videos is to make mech more popular. I am a proud believer that excellent theory crafters can be in low leagues and given motivation and passion make great ideas. So I really want to make mech more popular and want to draw in people to help me theory craft or give feed back on the best ways to mech.
Some info about me personally, I've been meching since 1999 and I love it. I'm multi grandmaster as mech even in WOL. Where I played under vGYosho or DraGonFuRy. I'll be posting all new videos in this thread so if you want a quick reference feel free to look here and leave comments / questions.
I'll definitely check them out since i just switched from BW to SC2 (Mech just feels right vs Protoss). Did you ever consider adding some reps for additional analysis?

I release reps on a regular basis, this thread I just want to be for the videos
Something I noted in your TvP game vs that barcode player was the need for a turret ring to spot for drops, wouldn't it be a little easier to use a sensor tower instead? It looked like you were doing a timing push at the 3rd expansion, i felt your push could of been a little stronger by sacrificing a few Hellbats for a few widow mines be it in your actual push, or to defend alternate routes in case of counter attacks. Overall these are really good games, im learning quite a bit.

it's not just spotting for drops that is the problem, it's flat out preventing them and mech is already really immobile. It's hard to pull back enough to stop a drop and keep your defense or push going.
Thank a lot for all the effort you put into your content you make. I have been constantly watching your replay pack, and these videos are very well made with great analysis. As a former Protoss player in WoL, trying to learn a new race in HotS has been a bit challenging to get up to a decent level. I wanted to switch to Terran because I really enjoy how mech is much improved, and your style is extremely helpful in the learning process. Thank you very much.
Your games vs Zs are just brutal. I almost feel sorry for them. They just got melted by tanks, mines, missiles. It's very satisfying to watch. I want more zerg tear lol.

For more zerg tears I recommend the most recent upload, there is some bm from the zerg there.
I haven't tried mech yet, but just your tips on scouting has already won me games. For example, the oracle timings, and knowing when to throw down extra bunkers. I can't wait to actually try out mech. My biggest problem is handling harass. Left alone I can usually max out at 15 minutes, but any type of drops or oracles and all my macro flies out the window.

Yeah I dislike oracle openings a lot, it's something i had to get used to and get the timings down.
Ok, this trailer starting off with catz going into mass obliteration with pure metal is just absolutely insanely satifsying lol.. :D That BW nostalgy, right there.. :D

I love it too, hardwyregaming did a great job editing it.
The story changes depending on who you ask, he says I begged to join root. I asked if root was replacing a terran I heard they lost. After a few beta games and balance discussions where we disagreed some bm between us started. I honestly don't know who started it, near the end of beta I tried to settle things. After a few attempts to settle it and our most recent game I decided he wasn't worth my effort. Hell I think I even complimented him in my recent video of our game ^^
There is only so much disrespect you want to put up with when you're 7-0 against someone and he still calls you a shit player.
Edit: After this last specific game he spent like 30 minutes explaining on stream why I was "bad". so I decided to troll his stream for 5 minutes. This is a back and forth thing I'm not playing the victim, want to make that clear I am most likely as much to blame as he is.
It seems like you two just clash personalities. Watching State of the Game Catz seems to be the sort of person it's easy to get on the wrong side of and if you do you probably won't ever get along with him, but as long as you're both as bad as each other I guess that's cool :p

Yeah that match against Catz... jeez. Great game though!

It was a really fun game to play, I think you casted it as well right duckville? I enjoyed it.
Hi HTOMario, it's not specifically related to this thread. But in the future, when you make videos, can you sometimes make some that's not auto-camera or not your FPVOD? I can understand that you want to teach people your builds, but when it's in auto camera, the camera moves too fast. And it may be better if you don't use auto-camera or your FPVOD. Thanks!

Unless I am mistaken first person vods are the ones where you see me actually playing the game. There are no camera angles on there it's just what I see. If you mean when it's the replay and only my vision, that could be a good idea.
Is there any way that you could upload replays somewhere?
Also, thanks for all of this information. I'm a diamond zerg player who has just fallen in love with mech in hots, and while looking for information on mech I found my way here. For learning purposes, is there any specific one build order that you would suggest to learn for each matchup?
This is awsome! This is the best explanation on how to play mech I have ever seen. Do you have any advise on how to defend against the early double hellbat drop where one medivac hits your main and another hits your natural at the same time?
It hard to react fast enough to pull SCV from both minerals at the same time, and if you do not, you often lose the game right there. I am currently thinking on going overboard on turrets even in the early game in order to defend against this, but then you are weaker against an early push.
