Why to put Stephano vs zerg ? Do EG-TL just want him to make a lot of progress ? or is it something else ?

(for Dear) Also gonna trade Light for Wooki since he's only in the lineup once. Wanted to trade SoO for Fantasy, but Fantasy's matchups are once again awful, so I'll hold off on that. Would have like to trade for Taeja, but he's still more valuable than everyone on my roster except Innovation.

Also I traded away Wooki because his name changing is dumb. Nah just kidding, he's not worth his worth at the moment is the real problem =(

I'm sure before the lineups were announced, CJ told EGTL that they would be playing Effort on Akilon Flats, and Woongjin coincidentally told EGTL the truth that they would play Soulkey on Neo Planet S. So Hwanni deliberately forced Stephano into two ZvZs, despite his terrified cries of "No zerg vs zerg! Please!" just so he'll have no choice but to improve his performance in that matchup. I'm sure* that's what happened. *The only other explanation is that PL lineups are submitted blind like they have in every other season, and Stephano just got an unlucky draw, but that explanation seems too obvious.

While I agree with you that obviously EGTL have no clue who they're facing, there is something to be said nedding to be able to win mirror matchups in the proleague. This has always been a key aspect of any top PL player in the past. If you can't win mirrors, you can't be sent out to maps that are favorable for your race. And that messes things up considerably. It's much worse for Stephano to be bad at ZvZ than he is at ZvT/P.
