And if the players breaks it 5-6season ban or even cash penalty.
I think it's not a big deal if they forfeit like this, before the qualifiers. In the end, because Grubby forfeited, we have a more deserving, better player in his place. If he forfeited later which ended up in a walkover for someone, that would have been bad.

please GOM, this joke needs to stop recent counterexamples: Nani, Stephano, HuK Im not even talking about skills. the GSL is just some vacation or what? Neither am I. They got seeded, played, lost and stayed to play on. MaNa as well. they should. Those like Grubby who didnt plan on playing any further after losing is a disgrace to the league (well not like they have the skill to anyway) It's getting closer to HotS release and there aren't many tournaments running WoL.. If he'd rather focus and get a nice start in HotS its his decision. I bet he would have not forfeited his spot if it was an earlier season and there was no expansion in sight... So you sir are the fucking disgrace to the community along with the rest of you shitting on Grubby for dropping because he'd rather focus on the expansion that will be here really soon, instead of messing around in a game that will be irrelevant in the very near future. So fuck off and leave the guy alone I bet you'd do the same damn thing if you were in his position.
fuck expansion man, this is the GSL. you commit or you gtfo. Wanna tell the same thing to 23 newly qualified code A qualifiers? tell that to Huk maybe (#respect dude you are twice the man some of your fellas are)?
why so butthurt about a quitter

Games I'm looking forward to and why:
- Byul vs Effort: could be a top notch ZvZ - Hero vs Yugioh: will the king of Code A return? - Yoda vs Tear: overrated or underrated? We'll see. - Dream vs Maru: Young terrans fighting! - Byun vs Revival: Could be pretty good. - Center vs Seed: Should be pretty good. - Happy vs Killer: old school Sangho? Will it happen? - soo vs MVP: I'm one of the many who are worried about MVP here. I know it's MVP and all, but soo is playing pretty well and MVP is constantly a worry now. - sOs vs s2: Could be a good PvZ
That's all. Rest are mostly one sided, and some that aren't just don't interest me.

HuK vs. Fantasy, Rain vs. Flash
Stephano should be able to get back into Code S pretty easily.
|
Poor Huk.... has to go vs Z i love him but i dont see much hope with how he has been playing vs Z lately
hopefully im wrong, GO HUK
|
TBH, I'm more hyped for Code A than Code S.
|
MVP has 10 players in GSL (9 on this bracket plus DRG) is that the most of any team?
|
I wish Mvp wasn't facing a Zerg. Hopefully, Mvp will be able to beat down some more KeSPA players...
|
I almost hope that Mvp gets knocked out, just so he has an excuse to take some time off and get his wrists fixed.

zenio back in :O Haven't seen him in awhile. Good work.

There's still a chance that both of them advance to Code S. One of them directly and the other through Up-and-Downs.

IIRC, he was willing to commit. I recall him saying he didn't think he would get into Code S, but was going to work hard to do well in Code A, because he was planning to stay long term in Korea. That was his plan all along, not just "quit if I lose in the Up & Downs". I would assume he forfeited because of problems with being too far away from his family and wife, or some other reason still unknown to everyone (and probably out of his control). You're a moron for lynching him before even knowing the full story, you should at least wait for him to make his statement.

i was really looking forward to see the GSTL with grubby in it.. i guess not anymore but at the same time the GSTL has lost appeal to me; lame format and prize money is absolutely low considering the effort lol i prefer to watch the proleague for team based competition. GSL is good for its solo-format

Aww yeah, grudge match of the weather! Rain vs Shine.

Stephano should be able to get back into Code S

There hasn't been any statement about him not being in the GSTL yet. However, if he was going to stay in Korea to play in the GSTL, he would have probably just played in Code A as well. It doesn't make much sense to play one but not play on the other one, but I guess we'll see what happens. I'd expect him to make some sort of announcement soon regarding his participation in the GSL and GSTL.

didn't think grubby would dodge like this but w/e, those seeds are a joke anyways

I mean if even players like Huk somehow manage to advance to Code S then surely Flash & co can do it as well... eventually
