One of the main reasons that I like SC2 is that I'm not rooting for a team. Very rarely have I ever actually liked a team, and even then it was only because I liked the individuals within it, which is something impossible to do in most mainstream sports. The teams have too many people, most of which are too "big" for us small folk to ever really connect to. In SC2, I can root for an individual. I'm not rooting for a massive clump of many people, most of which I know nothing about. I can root for one man, who succeeds and fails based solely on his own skills, and who is a person, not simply a member of a team, a mere cog in the machine. Stuff like this, that makes rooting for a person in SC2 easier and more entertaining, is almost always great in my book. | ||
