How do you feel about grabbing your first victory of the season?
It was really disappointing because I grabbed this first victory later than I expected to. I am happy about it but the disappointment is bigger. All this time, it was really difficult. But there are still a lot of games to come so I plan on working hard.
You were at a eight game losing streak.
I had to do a lot of thinking because of all those losses so i really wanted to win today. I think I won today because I had a kind of desperation.
Was there any pressure behind the fact that your opponent was herO?
If this was SC1, he would have seemed like Flash to me and that would have put a lot of pressure on me. But it was SC2 so I think everyone is the same. Although I did find it troublesome to play against a Protoss.
How did you prepare for this match?
Coach Kim gave a lot of advice from the sides. He also calmly guided me through the build order. I won because of coach Kim.
How did you feel about the oncoming elimination race?
I spawned mutalisks and then noticed that herO moved out. I had a feeling that I would win even if we did go to the elimination race. Even in the case of a base trade, I saw that I would hold the advantage.
Have you felt grateful for the help you received from any new player who came to the team?
There is a trainee by name of Kim Joo Yul. He came in recently and he helps me well with my practice so I am grateful for that.
This season's goals?
Last year, my mom told me (내게 3재가 꼈다고 하더라 no idea what this means). With today's victory, I think she was right. This season, I want to maintain a .500 win ratio.
Anything else you would like to say?
Now that I've left SK Telecom, I want to let supervisor Park Yong Woon and the coach know that I am sorry and that I am also grateful. I also want to thank all the T1 players. I want to thank coach Han for the fresh start. I want to thank a very good hyung of mine who went to the army for helping me throughout the moving process. Lastly, I want to thank all the hyungs who gave me a lot of advice.
