Just a little over two weeks, and then it's time for HomeStoryCup again! And the already sixth edition of this awesome tournament has a few little surprises for you and the players. But more on that later. The HomeStoryCup VI powered by XMG will be held in Krefeld, Germany from the 19th to 22nd of December. 32 of the best players from all around the world will be gathering at TaKe's place, for fun, competition, excitement and money! Thanks to our sponsors and partners, we managed to set up a total prize-pool of $25,000.00! Just this should grant us a massive amount of top level games, with brilliant tactics and awesome strategies, when it's time again to determine, who the next HomeKing will be!

And like in previous HomeStoryCups, we have a few small extras for you guys, so it will be an welcome alternation to the usual tournaments. The awesome chef Carsten, who cooked for the players during the last three HomeStoryCups, will be in Krefeld again and will provide food for the progamers. And to get the mood a little more christmassy, there will be spiced hot wine and a lot of Christmas baking! But that is not everything! This time we went a little crazy. TaKe will let us use his new flat, directly above the TaKeTV studio, in which he just recently moved in to. With the new space, we have possibilities, we haven't had before. We will set up a table-soccer and host a few tournaments for it. And because the game Looping Louie was so popular last time, we thought it would be a cool idea, to even host a few Looping Louie tournaments, as well. And we wouldn't be TaKeTV, if there were only two additions. To top it all, we will set up a massage area for the progamers. When a player is tired, or stressed out, he has the chance to take a place in one of NEEDforSEATs.de's awesome DX Racer chairs, get a massage from a masseuse, and forget completely about the tournament stress.
Additionally, we will provide a C-Stream for the event. This stream will be used by our sponsor & partner XMG, to talk about their newest hardware, and present all the features, so that you exactly know, which high quality product is the right one for you!
Public Viewing:
And of course, HomeStoryCup VI powered by XMG offers you the opportunity to visit Krefeld, and watch the HSC along with other eSports fans in the pub Limmerick's, which is directly below the event location. The pub will open one hour before event start. The players will visit the pub from time to time, that you get the rare chance to chat a little with your favourite players, or some nice signatures! And sometimes, we will raffle away nice goodies like top ROCCAT gear and HotS-Beta Keys!

Tournament System and Show Schedule:
The tournament will be played in the GSL format. Meaning, we will divide the 32 attending players in eight groups. The groups will be played like little tournaments (each group has a double elimination bracket). The first and second of each group will advance to the second group stage, which will be played like the first group stage. After the second group stage is done, eight players will remain, who are then qualified for the playoffs.

And on December, 19th 14.00 CET, we will finally start the show! The start will be the opening ceremony and the player introduction, directly followed by the first group stage. On the first day, the first four groups will be played. The second half for the first group stage will be played one day later. On the third day, we will show you the second group stage completely. That leaves us with the playoffs, which will be played on the final day of the HomeStoryCup VI powered by XMG, including the finals!
Additionally, we will provide a B-Stream, on which the progamers are free to cast, whenever they want, like in previous HomeStoryCups. On this stream, we will show most games, which didn't make it on the Main-Stream. So no content is lost and you guys can decide, what games you want to watch.
