Ugh, I'm doing so bad (5500-ish/5800), even for a first time FPL. Stephano as Team Captain wasn't a smart idea. And Sea retiring hurts. So I picked up miso since Sea retired, and dropped Shine for HoeJJa.Oh, and traded Jaehoon for Stork on anti-team.

My team now:
+ Show Spoiler +
TaeJa
HoeJJa
Hyuk
miso
Jangbi
Stephano (captain)
Samsung Khan

Jaehoon
Bisu
Terminator

FPL really goes deep, I like the simpler Liquibet right now. But if I can get better, I think I'll spend more time for FPL Round 2. My friends and I made a bet that whoever loses dyes their hair blonde, and I'm losing so bad (even though I follow SCII more than them).

Man. What a crazy week. I'm falling pretty far behind and the trade options are not that great. Picking KHAN for my team was such a terrible mistake. Any of CJ/SKT/KT and even EGTL would've netted so much more points from the team pick alone. Ouch.

One saving grace was having herO as my captain. Really wish he was sent instead of effort for that ace, but hey at least effort won.

Next week's line up is out. Let's see what's interesting.

Mind isn't playing in any matches. And thank god, how could we have known he'd turn out to be so terrible. Too bad there's almost no one good to trade him for. All the options are only playing 1 game, and against strong opponents. hope vs flash, s2 vs Effort, hitman vs Roro, Juni vs soo, size vs ZerO. ~_~. I would've taken JyJ who showed a little promise last week but he's not in the line up for this week. GAH. Guess I'm keeping mind just for the KT win points for now than wasting the -1 tax.

I've lost confidence in my Flying and Stork pick. Trading for Hon_Sin, and Wooki. Wooki's PvP is pretty good so I think he can beat stork, and skyHigh is not that tough an opponent so I think he could win too. Hon_sin has gotten 100% win rate in TvT, although it's only 3 games, and one of them was vs terrible Mind. But he's got 2 more TvT this week, vs very strong opponents Taeja and Bogus. A bit of a gamble but, too far behind in fantasy now, gotta take some risks.

I've still got SonGDuri and Crazy Hydra. both are playing twice this week. So that's good. SongDuri's gotta play Rain though. and crazy-hydra has to ZvZ vs Effort. Bleh. We'll see how they do.

I think herO will continue to do well, got two PvPs this week. on TLPD herO is currently on a 9 game PvP win streak, including beating Rain TWICE in the semi finals of last proleague season, in two back to back ace matches!. I'm gonna say that's a good sign.

No anti team trades yet. Terminator and Mini feels like fairly safe picks for now. soo is still a bad choice but so are all my trade options, maybe trade for fantasy, but his opponents this week aren't that strong.

Let's see predctions.

SKT1 vs CJ
herO and effort should both win handily. Rain and soo will probably take their games, but Hydra could upset. Best vs Bbyong is pretty close, so is fantasy vs skyHigh. Probably go to ace. Arkanoid being the ace match map is kind of WTF. Not sure who would get sent for that. 4-3 one or another, no idea how ace will play out or even who would get sent due to the map.

KHAN vs KT
Stats and Flash and Wooki wins pretty confident,Crazy-Hydra has yet to play a game this season yet so not sure on that one. KT should win this 4-2 worst case. Possibly 4-1.

EGTL vs Woongjin
A lot of pretty close games. Soulkey will probably beat JYP. Jaedong's ZvZ is damn good. The rest could all go either way.
Really hard to call score on this one. I think if it comes down to ace, they should send Jaedong. Woongjin will end up sending Soulkey or ZerO so ZvZ is good match up for JD.

T8 vs STX
Jaehoon's reign of terror will finally be ended by Bogus lol. II don't like either team's line up really. STX should win 4-2 though.

SKT vs KHAN
4-1, Roro will beat bisu, rest of KHAN loses. DOn't know much about Sacsri but turn was really terrible the last time we saw him play.

CJ vs KT
Wow, really close matches. Effort and herO should win. Wooki might be slightly favored in his game. Flash a bit favored vs Bbyong maybe, and Hydra vs Action is probably pretty even. No idea how Songduri vs motive will turn out. I think CJ should take this 4-2 though.

EGTL vs T8
EG should win this 4-2. They are favored in game 5 and 6 to close it out.

Woongjin vs STX
On one hand Woongjin could get 4-0'd, but if it goes to game 5 ZerO and Soulkey can both win. It is ZvP on Ohana though so Dear could upset with a strong immortal sentry all in. Sin might have an ok chance vs Bogus as his TvT is pretty good. 4-2 STX if Dear can pull off the immortal sentry all in good enough. Otherwise Soulkey vs Bogus ace could be a lot of fun to watch.

sum up of my first 2 weeks:

-had baby on my anti team first week and switched to effort... baby scores 0 second week and effort pulls through with an ace win

-happy with bisu for wooki

-<3 zero's cheese

-jyj i think will be a good cheap investment (traded sea for him)

-not sure whether or not to stick with Shine or not

Traded Mind for s2 and HoeJJa for Alone, both players not playing a match this week
The new players have tough matchups but I believe s2 can pull off a miracle win off EffOrt and Alone beating Mini

Flying for Stephano cus lol free anti-trade, and Jaehoon SHOULD lose to Bogus and Taeja, pls

Think I should get rid of JYP from anti before he does any more damage and I would appreciate your thoughts on the matter.
Picking by value there is ZerO, Flying, Stork, Reality, Stats, hyvaa and Last. I'm thinking Stork.
Stork?

I should probably also get someone else than Bbyong for this round but I have kind of decided not to touch the main team.
I did name it Faith +1 after all, and he's my +1 (everything else is T1)

I trade away sea and light cuz they're not showing up for two players who show up a lot (dream.t)check and shine... I know he's 0-4 but at least he's getting playtime) and suddenly light is fielded? If he wins I'll be so mad.

Also having Soulkey and Bogus right now is making me nervous, I'm not sure if it'd better to have it go to ace or to have Woongjin win 4-2 (so that soulkey plays and cuz woongjin is my team pick too.)

I'm so tooooorn. D:

Team : [image loading]Woongjin Stars - 3p

I didn't want to go anywhere near Rain's family, nor did I think that EG-TL would crush face like TL writers expect them to. So among the rest, I had to choose between Woongjin, Samsung and STX. Even though Khan was a finalist last season, they have the team with the least impressive individual results so far and they cost 4 instead of 3 for the two other so it was eliminate there. Soul have the best individual players on paper ((T)Bogus and (T)Last) but the mastery Stars showed in the first round of the last PL made me fan. 2 of their players qualified for Code A, (T)sin doing it against zergs including someone named Vampire, aka Sniper's clone; while 3 of them also reach the finals ((P)free, (P)BisAnG, (Z)ZerO). Not to mention (P)sHy and (Z)Neo.G_Soulkey were in Code S. This team has tremendous potential with a whole bunch of youngsters.

Captain : (Z)Neo.G_Soulkey - 8p

Players :
  • (T)Bbyong - 4p
  • (Z)ZerO - 4p
  • (P)Wooki - 3p
  • (P)JangBi - 5p
  • (T)hOn_sin - 3p

Among the players that were in Code S this season and who went down to Code A, (T)Bbyong is the cheapest (4p) and the fact that he will likely share ace matches with Effort which makes him a wise pick. Then I wanted another reliable player for a decent price a protoss would have been best but none were that impressive for 4p. (Z)ZerO and (Z)Shine both fill that spot but I couldn't decide yet.

After that I wished to pick 2 protosses because in Bo1, those are always a good thing to have so one under 3p among {(P)BisAnG,(P)free,(P)Wooki} and one over 5p among {(P)Trap (P)Stork,(P)Flying,(P)JangBi} was a good move for me. I believe BisAnG is the best player among the 1p players, his ability to reach Code B finals twice in a row (losing to win-hungry San in the last one) tells me that, however I don't think he is ranked that highly in his team and he shouldn't see that much playing time yet. As such I picked a combination that was likely to play often and which one of them will do well : [Wooki,JangBi].

Lastly I wanted a terran but they are either WAY too costly for what they are {(T)Bogus, (T)Last, (T)Flash, (T)BaBy} or their level is quite unknown like {(T)PuMa, (T)ThorZaIN, (T)hOn_sin, (T)Classic}. I was determined to pick of the last group and decided to go for (T)hOn_sin just because he his almost guaranteed to win his game against a totally unknown player who will be hard pressed to cheese on a map like Arkanoid.

Anti - team :
  • (P)BeSt - 6p
  • (T)sKyHigh - 4p
  • (Z)Zenio - 3p

I am not sure BeSt will have a bad season/day but in the bigger scheme of things, I have to avoid picking against teams that I think could win in the end and he weights quite a few points in a team where he will end up behind Rain all the freaking time anf if Bisu comes back well, he can almost kiss his spot good bye. (T)sKyHigh looks like an overrated player in a team that won more on BW than on SC2 last time and (Z)Zenio has been slumping for a while and with the recruitment of Jaedong, he will go after him in the line-up.

+ Show Spoiler [1st Week Wrap-up] +
Team : [image loading]Woongjin Stars (-1p) Tough first week for WS with a 1-4 defeat. But with T8 as the only cheaper team, I have to trust myself on this one. To Keep

Captain : (Z)Neo.G_Soulkey (0p) Lost his match against Bbyong but should do well in the future.

Players :
  • (T)Bbyong (4p) Won his match against Soulkey confirming his Code A results. Keeper
  • (Z)ZerO (0p) Dissapointing loss on a Terran favored map. Likely to be traded
  • (P)Wooki (4p) Satisfying win for a protoss that should see regular play. Keeper
  • (P)JangBi (0p) I was expecting more from him. On probation
  • (T)hOn_sin (1p) Didn't play but was on the line-up. Undecided

Anti - team :
  • (P)BeSt (4p) I was expecting him to be the contrary of JangBi, but that's not the case. Likely to be traded
  • (T)sKyHigh (4p) Apparently not as bad as foreseen. On probation
  • (Z)Zenio (0p) Seemed completely lost against Flash. Keeper

+ Show Spoiler [1st Week Trades & 2nd Week Preview] +
I decided not to trade anyone for this first week after seeing the match-ups :
  • Bbyong is likely going to stay on my line-up for a while. He can go 2-0 this week and 1-1 at worst.
  • ZerO was playing BeSt so I decided to trust him once more, and ends up locking both on the lineup. The risk of ZerO going 1-1 is high because he plays Flash in the second part of the week but BeSt plays him and BaBy and I expect BaBy to crush BeSt granting me a potentiel 0-2 for BeSt this week.
  • Wooki should win against Sang and free, continuing to make a strong impression on everyone.
  • Sin is too cheap to be traded right now, though I thought about trading him for Mind but they face each other on the second part of week one and decided not to risk the trade penalty for that.
  • JangBi has to perform against Dear because he won't against TaeJa. His stock is falling rapidly and I might have to trade him for a lesser protoss in a more successful team.
  • sKyHigh is only playing one match and I think Last has what it takes to crush him. Zenio is in a similar situation playing only RorO.

+ Show Spoiler [2nd Week Wrap-up] +
Team : [image loading]Woongjin Stars (10p) Great week for WJS with a weel earned 4-3 win over SKT and a quick 4-0 over KT. It's too bad they lost against CJ on the first day because with that level of play I can see them winning all the remaining matches. Next week will be tough with a EG-TL team that is looking for points and an under-performing STX that is bound to bounce up eventually. Keeper

Captain : (Z)Neo.G_Soulkey (14p) He isn't one of the few KeSPA Code S by accident. He won all of games including a Ace Match and is riding a 3-0 streak.

Players :
  • (T)Bbyong (5p) Lost against Jaedong but won against Trap. He may not be as powerful as I thought be he certainly delivers, plus he is on a team that keeps on winning. Keeper
  • (Z)ZerO (8p) HOLY SHIT BATMAN ! I was wondering why the WJS kept on playing him on Bifrost, well he single-handedly proved that Bifrost isn't a Terran favored map. He earned his spot until the end. Keeper
  • (P)Wooki (5p) A win once again for this up-and-coming protoss. The only bad point about him is that he plays on KT. Keeper
  • (P)JangBi (1p) My biggest disappointment so farn and it is doubled by the fact that Samsung Khan plays terribly as a whole. The trade possibilities aren't that huge but I need to make the most out of his spot before it's too late. Traded
  • (T)hOn_sin (8p) He may not be the cleanest player out there but he gets shits done. No wonder he is ahead of Light right now. Keeper

Anti - team :
  • (P)BeSt (4p) I wanted to trade him for Stephano last week but couldn't because he was too high (0.62p too much if I remember correctly) and now he continues to win when it matters. Traded
  • (T)sKyHigh (2p) Apparently not as bad as foreseen. Traded
  • (Z)Zenio (4p) Wasn't fielded against CJ but won against RorO, Traded

Team : [image loading]Woongjin Stars - Tricky match-ups for WJS this week as both of them are against teams that could well be better than what they look like. They continue to field the same line-up more or less which tends to indicate that they are confident in these players and rightly so.
  • EG-TL will field an all-korean line-up and the match-ups are favoring EG-TL by a small margin. The best players from WJS (Soulkey and sOs) are playing 2nd and 6th which is dangerous considering that 3rd,4th and 5th match have Jaedong, TaeJa and HerO playing in mirrors. There is no doubt that both TaeJa and HerO are vastly superior to Sin and Flying in this area. So free's performance against Zenio will be crucial for Woongjin, as this first game could well make the difference between a 4-2 for EG-TL or a 4-3 for WJS.
  • STX Soul is a team that should be in stronger that what its results would tend to indicate - They should have won against CJ Entus had Bogus learned to do a proxy 2-Rax. This week match-ups are also tricky with most matches happening on KeSPA's new maps. Soulkey, and ZerO should have no problem winning against Dear and Size respectively but sOs could be surprised by Last. So WJS has to win at least with either Flying, Sin or Light. Flying never won so far, Sin won twice and could well upset Bogus after winning against Fantasy and finally Light is playing for the first time taking free's place (who took fOKINS's place). Ryu Won took SlayerS to 2 consecutive GSTL titles with almost all terrans line-ups. Can he do the same here ?

Captain : (Z)Neo.G_Soulkey - I believe JYP to be the second best team player on EG (after JD) but if Soulkey prepares for the incoming 4 Gate he should be fine. Dear shouldn't be that hard to beat either. The streak continues.

Players :
  • (T)Bbyong - Tough week for Bbyong who plays BeSt and Flash. I hope he beats BeSt at the very least.
  • (Z)ZerO - He could lose to JaeDong but should win against Size very easily. He only has one match-up to prepare.
  • (P)Wooki - He had rather weak opponents so far and we could see him continue to improve against Stork and sKyHigh.
  • (P)JangBi traded for (Z)SonGDuri - JangBi has been a huge let-down. His team continues to lose. A trade for JYP last week could have been very could useful but I have to settle here for a lesser player. SonGDuri wasn't highly rated at the beginning of the season but brought some useful points as CJ kept winning. He is the only player who plays twice this week (along with Crazy-Hydra) and I decided to trust him though I could second guess myself at the last moment.
  • (T)hOn_sin - Tough week again for Sin (plays TaeJa and Bogus) but I wouldn't get any better player right now.

Anti - team :
  • (P)BeSt - My personal bane. I thought he was bad but he entered SKT main players (along with Fantasy, soO and Rain) I could end up losing 8 points again but I don't see anyone worth trading for.
  • (T)sKyHigh traded for (Z)Stephano - This is a very conservative choice but seeing how I am performing poorly with my Anti right now, I am not sure Stork would be a better choice.
  • (Z)Zenio - He plays on once against free. As I said earlier, it's a crucial match-up for WJS and I have to trust my main team.

If you could give me feedback on my trades that would be nice.

trades before week 3
after my GLORIOUS trades past week(went from rank 935 to 45 in a week), i don't have as much leverage this week.

main team:
yeongjae is not playing, but trading options are not looking good. plus, he's in skt1, so i get +1for him if skt wins, even if he doesn't play (i have skt as my team, so even more incentive to keep him)

wooki, bbyong, hydra = solid players, I'm not trading these. can't trade flash (my captain). I'm so happy with these picks.

sin has 2 very hard tvts against taeja and bogus on planet s, but he's already gotten me 9 points from tvts.

anti:
keeping stephano and idra since god knows when they're playing. i only lose 1pt if eg-tl is winning, that's ok.

stats is going to keep losing me points. it its counter productive to have him on my anti while his teammates flash and wooki are on my main. I thought of trading him for reality(same trading value). This is a very hard decision to make. they both got 6 points so far, but stats is very likely to win his first game next week. his next game is likely to lose(vs heojoin), but he's been bleeding me points and i have to minimize the bleeding. i should have picked bisu or jangbi instead of stats at the beginning of the season. Reality won tvts against bogus and baby, lost against her0. he has a tvz and tvp (against rain) next week on separate maps, hard for him to practice. Stats also has separate matchups but at least they're on the same map so he can practice more efficiently. Reality is on samsung khan(second to last in team points, so likely to keep losing), and i have no other player from khan on my main. i think trading stats for reality is a sensible option here, at least for this week.

what do you guys think about this trade?

other options are hyvaa and last(increase in trade value), both on stx, both playing 2 games. neither of these are a good option.

I'm thinking of trading Paralyze for Ryul2, not sure if it's worth it tho. And I was gonna get rid of Mind for JYJ, but seeing that he's not in next week's lineup, that's not really an option anymore. So I'd have to trade Mind for someone else, but I'm not sure who. Thoughts?

This week went pretty badly for me, but I'm still 81st. KT will presumably not get 4-0ed next week and things will pick up. :D

My whole roster (fantasy, taeyang, hydra, Crazy-Hydra,wooki,Speed) get decent play time next week, although BaBy just refused to perform while hydra, Speed are sorta sloppy. Besides, it's sad that CJ is unable to pull a whitewash but rather close ones. Same may go for this week

Anti-wise, made the most obvious trade-in of Stephano like everybody else

Fucking Sherry. Thought that he was on SKT T1 the whole time and only now just realized he is on team 8
Dumped Stork and Mind because mind isn't playing (and he is quite bad anyways) and stork is slumping, only compounded by the fact he is on KHAN making it even worse.

I don't think I will make much headway with my team anymore this round. When I picked the team in the beginning, I was overestimating player losses in terms of losing points and thus made too conservative choices. With the players that I have at the moment losing more and more trade value (thanks Mind and Sea), picking better alternatives has become really hard.

I was wondering what people would trade in my place if they had the team I have at the moment?
http://www.teamliquid.net/fantasy/proleague/Team.php?team=Proseat&r=12

I was thinking of not making any adjustments to my anti team. On the main team, however, I am somewhat at a loss who to get for Sea (retired) and disappointing Mind (two losses last week, not fielded in the next matchups). I also seriously doubt Bisu will win his one match against RoRo. Equally, HoeJJa lost last week and is not fielded. I looked into trading away Sea (for (Z)check or (T)Kop?) and Mind (for (Z)hitmaN[jOin]?) or possibly (P)Bisu (for (Z)Crazy-Hydra?), but if I traded the former two I would also have to get another Terran again and there are only two trades possible.

What do you guys think?

from what Stephano said at HSC, he's probably not getting Korea until the final week of round 1? or maybe not even until R2? could be a nice pick-up for anti (I swapped stork for him last week anyway because of insidious insider knowledge that told me he was going to HSC6)
AdministratorHey HP can you redo everything youve ever done because i have a small complaint?

I should've traded Jaehoon for Stephano last week, now I'm stuck with him on my anti team. Not a lot of good options
