Right now I'm considering trading stats because he cost me 6 points, the options are trap(only 3 points so far), hyvaa(4pts so far). Do I consider myself satisfied with the points I avoided so far(losing 6 points is not that bad) and keep him, or trade him for one of the above?
also, with stephano on my anti, can anyone speculate on stephano's availability to play in korea after january-february? It doesn't matter because everything is being reset after Round 1. It is confirmed that he is playing at least for the entire month of January. Geoff confirmed this lastnight on SotG, he also said "but that's all I'm saying" which implies that Stephano could probably be doing something else during (or after) that time as well. If I were you though, I'd probably wait until seeing the matchups before deciding on whether or not I should trade Stats. thank you for the info. so we'll be allowed to re pick everything, main and anti ? does the winter of round 1 get a mini-icon? Yes to the first question. Don't know about the other.

Anyone think I should trade Bbyong or Fantasy on my main for ZerO? (my team is WJS)
|
Anyone else have jaedong on anti thinking of trading him. Seems like it is best to wait it out currently. I am looking into someone else who might have better insight on this.
|
Can you guys recheck points for BeSt , he's on my anti-team and i didn't get any point when he lose 1 times against ZerO
|
Flying up the ranks now thanks to CJ Hero who has been incredible for my fantasy team! Finally got rid of Reality from my anti team as well. Think I rely too heavily on herO and Bogus though. SkyHigh and CrazyHydra need to play + win for my to get any higher i think.

You don't get points when the lose, you just don't lose points.

Trying my hand at a weekly recap
Team : Woongjin Stars (9p) Nice way to bounce back after losing in the first week, 4-3 over SKT one of the strongest teams imo and 4-0 over KT netted me a nice 9 points Next two matchups vs EG-TL and STX will be tough but I have faith in Woongjin. Keeper
Captain : Fantasy (8p) He's done decently so far, with a 2-1 record in Proleague (and the one loss was a real wonky double proxy game vs hOn_sin) could have gotten better value for his price but for now I am happy.
Players : Wooki (5p) Traded JangBi for this guy last week and has netted me a +5 so far (JangBi w/ 0 pts) Keeps winning in PvP and has some crisp looking builds and good decision making in that MU. Haven't seen any of his other MUs though. Looks like a good sniper for KT right now. Possibility for 3-win streak points still alive because KT lost before he could play in vs Woongjin Stars. Keeper
ZerO (8p) Keeps getting sent out on Bifrost and now we can see why. Beat both BeSt and Flash this week, both of whom I thought were favored vs him heading into the match. He's going to see regular playing time and I really think he is showing himself as a solid #2 option for Woongjin right now.Keeper
yeOngJae (4p) Traded Sea for him because Sea wasn't in the lineup again for the two matches and I saw some comments on TL about Sea not enjoying the game and hinting that he might retire (and as we see it came to fruition). JYJ was the only one who was in the lineup for both games last week so I took a chance on him since I thought he could go 1-1 and get points for being on SKT. He did rather well initially vs Soulkey but some mistakes lost him the game, won vs Alone so was well worth the trade. Keeping for now
Crazy-Hydra (4p) Has yet to play a game yet even though hes been in the lineup twice (and gotten me points for being on KT). Can't formulate much of an opinion on him without seeing him play, thought he was one of the players to have good potential in SC2 though so holding on to him unless I see otherwise. Might consider trading him if the lineup this week doesn't look nice or a good opportunity presents itself though. Pending Matchups
TaeJa (4p) A little bit disappointed in his loss in the ace match vs CJ, lost out on a ton of potential points there Hes still one of the strongest players in the player field imo, although his TvP is looking very suspect lately. Keeping for now
Anti - team : Stephano (1p) Traded Trap for him after Trap gave me +1 from the anti-team last week, figured Trap would win this week and it happened. Smart choice since it seems he will not play at all in Round 1, especially after what Geoff revealed in SOTG about Stephano being in Korea from Jan-Feb. Keeper
Motive (2p) Seems to be buried far down in KT's roster, a good choice for anti-team, the worst I can get is -1 from him each match. Keeper
Zenio (4p) Wasn't fielded against CJ but won against RorO, depending on the lineups might trade him. Pending matchups
All in all, awesome week for my main team and okayish week for my anti-team. Sitting in the top 1k but will wait for lineups to see if there are possible trades to improve my chances of moving on up this week.

I'm pretty happy with my main team now. My problem is what to do with Reality on the anti-team. The plan was to have him there temporary until I could trade him for Stephano. He was vs. Baby the first week so I thought it i were pretty safe but of course he won. I guess that would have been fine if it werent for that Jaehoon had started to win as well. So now I had to chose between Jaehoon and Reality for Stephano. Since Reality had Bogus and HerO the 2nd week I traded Jaehoon for Stephano and Reality went on to win against Bogus but lose to HerO. And now I've no idea what to do with him... I can't find any obvious choice to trade him for.

day2: he plays: +1 he loses: -1 his team loses: 0 overall: 0
day3: he plays: +1 he wins: +2 his team wins: +1 overall: +4
he has +8 points overall, which means -8 for you.
you can only win point from players on your anti team, if they lose the ace match, because they get +1 for ace appearance but -2 for ace loss

+ Show Spoiler [My team for reference] + + Show Spoiler [My post before this week matchups] +On December 14 2012 02:45 Ammanas wrote:For me the FPL didnt start very well (somebody could even say quite bad), but I attribute that to being FPL novice. Only ones that scored for my team were Bbyong and Fantasy with Mind and Crazy-Hydra scoring also, because they didnt actually get to play. Flying and hyvaa disappointed a little bit. From the anti-team, Jaehoon has made me lose 4 points, which I didnt like at all. On the other hand, Mini didnt play at all and Bisu lost, so at least something. Getting Woongjin Stars as my team, I kinda question now. Of course, we cannot deduce anything from one match, but STX Soul has impressed me more first week and they cost same amount of points. Trades I have made: None on main team, was thinking about getting rid of Flying, but he is the only protoss on my team, so I would have to either trade him for another protoss or do 2 trades, which is currently not too appealing to me. On anti-team though, I have traded Jaehoon for Stephano. He won't be playing this week for sure, and also probably won't be playing the next week since HSC ends on 22.12 which is next Saturday. If he goes to Korea straight after HSC, he may be playing in match on 25.12. - jetlagged, not prepared etc. Not to mention, that Jaehoon actually has pretty good chance to win his first match (and he will probably lose the second to Rain). Trade worth it, imo. Expected performance (maybe the better name for this section would be "Things I hope for"): Fantasy should be leading the charge for me as my captain, I really expect him to win both his matches. Neither hOn_sin nor Ryul2 should be too much of a problem for him. Bbyong plays against JD and Trap next week. I fully expect JD to lose, mainly after what he showed against Hack. Versus Trap it should be 50/50 and I hope he can beat him too. Wont be too surprised if he loses though. Crazy-Hydra plays only one match and thats against Flying, whom I also have on my team, so if it comes to that match, I will get points from it whatever happens. Mind plays Jaehoon and hOn_sin, both on Arkanoid (he was also scheduled to play on Arkanoid in the EG-TL match), so he seems like a sniper for this map. Hopefully he has some good builds prepared. Flying plays soO and C-H. Against soO its gonna be very hard. I actually dont expect him to win. Will see though, maybe he has some ace up his sleeve. He only trains PvZ for this week, so if he doesnt do 10 min mothership, he may stand a chance. Agains C-H it doesnt really matter, I have some points from that match either way. And finally, hyvaa plays against hOpe and Effort. He only has to train ZvZ which is good. I think he should beat hOpe and stand a fair chance against Effort, so this is his chance to redeem himself after losing last week. And now to some predictions! + Show Spoiler [Saturday] +KT vs T8 Baby and Flash should take their games. I would give a slight edge to Mind on Arkanoid because of the map. Wooki and Terminator should be 50/50, I would give a slight edge to Wooki (just cause Terminator is bad and nobody can convince me otherwise even if he wins GSL in the near future). The other T8 players are unknown to me and they definitely can surprise, but I think Action and Stats are solid enough to warranty KT victory 4:1 or 4:2.
WJS vs SKT sHy and Soulkey should win their matches, Fantasy and Rain should win theirs. This will all come to Flyings and ZerO matches. At least one of them will have to win to get it to ace. Both will have it very tough and I am not sure if they can do it. Will definitely root for them though. Its either gonna be 4:2 SKT or 4:3 SKT with Rain winning vs Soulkey in ace. + Show Spoiler [Sunday] +STX vs KHAN4:2 STX with hyvaa, Dear, Bogus and Trap winning. It will be up to Reality to prove me wrong, win his match against Bogus, get it to ace, where Bogus will kill BBatta or some other awesome pick.. But seriously, STX will not lose here be it in ace or before that. CJ vs EGTLBbyong, Taeja, herO[jOin], HerO will win their matches. SonGDuri vs Thorzain, I really dont know. Everything seems to b favouring Thorzain, but... he is foreigner. And EffOrt vs JYP is battle of i-dont-know-how-to-beat-toss vs I-dont-know-if-I-slump-or-I-have-always-been-so-bad. It will come up to if CJ can win both - SonGDuri vs Thorzain and EffOrt vs JYP. If they can, they win 4:2. If they cant, EG wins 4:2 or 4:3 in ace. + Show Spoiler [Monday] +KT vs WJS Soulkey, Flash, sHy, Mind, Wooki, Flying win their matches, imo. Then it is up to ace and the question is if they can snipe Flash. imo they cant. KT 4:3
T8 vs SKT I wanted to say this is gonna be onesided, but.. First game I dont really know either player, so I dont know who can win. Baby should have an edge over Best, but he certainly can take it also. Fantasy wins afterwards. 4th game is once again like cointoss for me, dont know. Rain and soO win. SKT is gonna take it, question is only how much they win. if everything goes right for T8 (Baby wins, both unknown games are won by T8 players) then SKT wins 4:3. If not, SKT wins 4:2 or 4:1. Either way, SKT wins. + Show Spoiler [Tuesday] +STX vs CJ Last, Bogus, Bbyong, herO[jOin], Dear are gonna take their matches. Then it comes down to hyvaa vs EffOrt. if hyvaa wins, STX wins 4:2. If EffOrt wins, STX wins 4:3 in ace (Bogus takes down herO[jOin], my wil guess).
KHAN vs EGTL EGTL 4:2 with HerO, Taeja, Puma, JD winning their games.
Some of my thoughts if anyone's interested! Currently ranked at 726 which is much better then about 2.5k place I was in after first week. I am kinda OK with this, but I was (and still am) aiming for more. Not bad for first time FPL though ^^
Captain Fantasy performed well, but lost one match which I didn't expect. It was a loss in a weird game which included double proxy reaper and CCs flying to opponent's main to start mining again. As I said, it was weird game and nobody can blame Fantasy for losing. Against Ryul2 he won, as expected. I still think it was a good decision to make Fantasy my captain and I wouldn't trade him even if I could.
Bbyong brought home 5 points, which was kinda expected. He won the match I expected him to lose and lost the one I expected him to win, but 5 points are still great. And he only cost 4 points before SPL started! It was a bargain deal and he is definitely a keeper.
Crazy-Hydra didn't play at all this week, but he still brought 2 points. He actually didn't get to play at all yet. To be honest, him being tied for third best contributor to my team overall with his stellar record of 0-0 probably says something about my team. Will see the matchups, but I still have faith in this particular KT zerg, so I will most probably keep him.
hyvaa is kinda strange imo. He won once and lost once. I kinda expected that. But he lost to hOpe (which he shouldn't have) and won against EffOrt (which is strange). I really am not sure what to do with him. His 1-2 record is not stellar, but he has potential for more. In first week, he lost to Best on Bifrost, which is understandable (but why did he go with that weird 2nd hatch in place where third is supposed to be on Bifrost of all maps?). Then he lost to hOpe in game I expected him to win (didn't see this match). And then he won against EffOrt which was also unexpected (will watch the game today after work). Will have to see the matchups, but I will think about trading him away. Not a priority trade though. (+ I am bashing my head against the wall, cause I was resubmitting this team several times and only difference was always soO or hyvaa. I should have gone with soO). He is on standby.
Flying is another player I am not sure about. He failed in first week, then he played against soO and lost. I expected him to lose, sure, but the way he lost was just stupid. He had like 3 minute window where he could have killed soO and instead he was just going between the bases not doing any damage. When he finally committed, it was too late and soO crushed him. He didn't get to play against C-H. I will have to see matchups, if he goes against lesser terran or protoss, I may keep him. If he goes against Zerg I may have to trade him. It depends on more things though, since he is only protoss in my team, I will have to trade him for either Wooki or Dear, so it also depends on their matchups. For now he is on standby.
Mind is just bad. I though that since KT is playing him all three games same map, he has what it takes to win at least once. But he was completely lost against both his opponents, that I will have to trade him probably. Depends who can he be traded for, but if I find someone in lineup he will go away. Trade pending.
Woongjin Stars Well, what can I say. After not so convincing start, they managed to 4:0 KT and 4:3 SKT which netted me nice 10 points this week and 9 points overall. Keeping them.
On anti-team I will probably keep them all, although if Bisu plays and Light doesn't I may trade them. Same goes for Mini -> Light. Have to see the lineups.

BByong on my anti is killing me..
Whats the consensus on HuK on main team? I am thinking about trading him for Shine. Shine for that low of a trade value, and he usually makes a late comeback in the season.

If Shine plays both matches but gets put up against guys like Rain and Flash, you'd be a fool to trade for him. However, if HuK were to get put up against someone like Mind or Alone in only one match, I'd play play him in a heartbeat.
With T8 being their second matchup this week, there is actually a possibility of HuK getting played and him winning.

Urrrg, being in third place creates so much pressure. At least I'm not first: I don't believe that anyone has ever gone wire-to-wire in FPL anyway. Being first is a jinx
I'm in a position to win the whole thing as long as CJ continues to do well, but I feel I have no chance if I don't make a trade, namely getting rid of Soo on my antiteam. I also don't know whether to actually hop off the CJ bandwagon or not: they face the two toughest teams in SKT and KT this week. They could easily go 0-2 and put me out of contention.
Week 3 I feel is the most important week. If you're in the top 50 before week 4 (the last week), that's when you can start looking at all the teams above you and attempt to metagame for the win. I'd love to be in that position.
I'll wait for lineups before making a move.

I have no idea how I'm doing so well, but I'm hoping for continued good fortune. I got a lot at stake here. :O

oh well, Ill need to try my chance at the 2nd round. im lost for the first round.
Bogus didnt perform as I had tought he would. 11pts Dear is still a keeper I knew he was really good, I just hoped he could have won his last pvp and he didnt not. 7 pts Fantasy did okay. 8pts classic did worst than i expected him to do, I shouldve traded him for HonSin, but I took the chance. 4 pts Mind. i kept him because he was playing 2 times this week, but it appears hes not really good, shouldve traded for yOj 3pts ZerO did well hes a keeper, for the 4 point he was worth. 8pts
Stx failed to reach my fanboy expectations oh well see yall in next round only 4 pts
anti team baby was a dangerous coinflip, -6pts were not so bad Skyhigh, suprised me got me another -6 Snow got me a -2
