Correction: Daily ESPORTS mistakenly reported earlier that Jaedong would return to Team Eight immediately should they find a sponsor. This was a misunderstanding; Jaedong's 1 year period with EG is binding. |

Since you decided to make this post. I may not be that guy, but jaedong had one of the heftiest salaries in brood war. I don't know Jaedong's exact numbers, but flash was making upwards of 300k usd annually when you include prize money. Jaedong's salary was surely six figures.
Well, I won't be surprised if EG is paying him six figures. They can pay Stephano around that so why not Jaedong too?

I think youre talking about a prize pool
OSL never had a 100k prize for 1st place

I'm not sure what he's making from EG, but I'd be surprised if they could afford to pay him 6 figures with the rest of their roster/payroll.

Not to mention you know they must pay idrA an arm and a leg because he is the face of their franchise.Point being I wouldn't be surprised if Jaedong is making less than stephano.

EG Curse finally reached Kespa.

No one actually knows what Stephano is making or what Flash/Jaedong made in the old days, do they? Not really?

They know Flash had a $15k/month salary. Players like Best had a 200k/year contract, and Nada signed a 600 - 800k/3year(I forget the exact amount. It's between 600 and 800 for sure though) contract. It was a little more open back then.
An article on SK-gaming also posted that Bisu had a 150,000,000 won contract.

how the fuck can they earn so much though? If I become a fucking surgeon in belgium, I only have 20k a month. Not that I have anything against their wages, I moreso have a problem with the wages in belgium being way too low and taxes way too high.

dont expect jd to roflstomp everyone (with the exception of flash) before the end of 2013....

its not just the job but ur level of expertise. flash earned 15k/month but hes the no. 1 bw player in the world. example, if you are the no. 1 heart surgeon in the world, ud prolly make more than 20k a month.

That wasn't the point, if a progamer makes 15k a month (180k a year), that's great and all, but they're not going to be progamers (and therefore have that salary) till they're 65. It'll only be a few years. Surgeons are going to make 20k a month till they retire (or whatever happens when they lose the precision that need).

It has been several hours since I've seen this news, and it still sends shivers down my spine and shocks me to the core.
It's so... unreal.

I still cannot believe this. It feels so unreal.
