Correction: Daily ESPORTS mistakenly reported earlier that Jaedong would return to Team Eight immediately should they find a sponsor. This was a misunderstanding; Jaedong's 1 year period with EG is binding. |

AWESOME btw. Liquid'Rain would be pretty cool but We all know that Bisu sucks at sc2 No! Just wait till Pro league.... If he fails at that, then we can say he sucks at Sc2. He was never good at OSL even in BW so it's no surprise he hasn't broken in the GSL yet.

This isn't football. There is no team-play. Perhaps a manage that chooses the right players for match-ups, but it stays: SIngle player skill, no team qualities needed. (as proven when Taeja carried TL alone for some time).

So EG can't keep Jaedong at all after one year?

that's true in sc2 though
even TL, come on, it's looking more and more like a korean team. TL used to be about huk, jinro, sheth, haypro, ret...it's an alright team, not going to challenge in the GSL but at least it was home grown.
Now TL rides on hero and taeja, which part of them are "liquid" really? Their t-shirts?

Liquid`Flash. Make it happen. :D

Wow, can't believe that EG didn't hype this up beforehand. Probably not possible due to dates, but still... I hope TL players get some play time with all the EG players that are in Korea now.

how is hero not liquid? he was a nobody before he was picked up and he's been on the team for 18 months now.

TL has a good talent scout, i'll give you that...
|
Not sure why so many people are assuming liquid has any part of his recruitment, he doesn't have ties to liquid, it's not liquid-EG, it's EG-Liquid, Alex approached Victor, and they aren't one team, they're completely separate in every aspect except one league...
Grats to EG.

agreed. Also Taeja was starting to make a real name for himself after joining teamliquid(just being an online bonjwa before)

This is pretty awesome just hoping Jaedongs got the drive to be great at sc2.
He was amazing, playing in oz that was a fairly weak team, didn't get as much money as he should and had to carry the team on his shoulders put him on alot of stress, i remember the drama about his parents making him a free agent and just seeing jaedong fight to get to stay on his team and to do his best for them. After oz died he just haven't been the same in team8 and not sure how this will fit him.
I <3 Jaedong and i really hope he'll become a powerhouse in sc2

BOW DOWN, biggest news for SC2 in a long time!!!

Some guys were meant for success and that's one of the reasons you recruit them in the first place. You guys have to realize that it has to come from within the player to reach those goals.
A lot of them do it on their own.
Oh and EG isn't really a monopoly. There are a lot of teams who can pony up dough, but it has to be well worth the investment and a monopoly would mean you have no competition.
Last time I checked EG doesn't win everything, so it's safe to say there's still plenty of competition.

Does that mean we get to see JD is other foreign tournaments other than MLG? Is JD still part of KeSPA?

I would seriously like to know how those teams are getting sponsorship One tournament have 30,000 viewers, even in an unlikely utopic scenario half of them would buy mouses, pads and even ram it doesn't seem to pay so many high end salaries ....
