EG.Jaedong - Page 89
| Forum Index > SC2 General |
Correction: Daily ESPORTS mistakenly reported earlier that Jaedong would return to Team Eight immediately should they find a sponsor. This was a misunderstanding; Jaedong's 1 year period with EG is binding.

I was joking, then again last time I saw jd he was pretty shit. Lets hope hes improved as much as flash

I really feel like this news is worrying, because top Kespa players make so much money..and while I'm sure the bankroll of Jaedong from EG will be quite large, I don't see one of Kespa's most popular players going to a foreign team a good sign for how Sc2 is doing for Korea. With LoL dominating there, it looks troublesome that the most sought after Korean players are seeking outside opportunities. It is one thing to see this from ESF players because they often lack sponsors (minus LG-IM), but for Kespa teams its something different. Am I way off the mark here? Or do we just don't care bc Jaedong is on EG :D Team 8 doesn't have a sponsor; that's the point.

Or do we just don't care bc Jaedong is on EG :D As far as i remember reading correctly, Jaedong never got paid near as much as you'd think. Don't take me granted though, but thats the image i have in my head, that i've read somewhere. So while getting Jaedong most likely costs EG "alot" in e-sports standards, it probably isn't as much as you'd think. Of course, all this is just speculation and who knows how good of a deal Jaedong made. About the state of Starcraft in Korea, Team 8 (Jaedong's team/ex-team), has been trying to find sponsors for a year or so without finding any success really. Other Kespa teams are much more compared to Team 8.
