Correction: Daily ESPORTS mistakenly reported earlier that Jaedong would return to Team Eight immediately should they find a sponsor. This was a misunderstanding; Jaedong's 1 year period with EG is binding. |

Nonetheless, amazing addition. Looking forward to see him perform at more foreign events. If you're talking about InControl. He probably does more to promote EG and all it's sponsors than any (other) player on EG. I agree seeing him in the player lineup compared to the monsters that are on there seems wrong, but I really really doubt InControl isn't pulling his weight (no pun intended).
Hehe pulling his weight :D
I could see HuK go, as well as IdrA. Or Machine Suppy and unfortunately Demuslim. :/

Jaedong X Stephano fanfics incoming. Wait doesn't this also mean that Jaedong is part of the TLAF-EG.RC alliance?

Jaedong is already better than Idra, so there.
But my concern is over Team 8, they have too few players now. If somebody snatches BaBy then KeSPA can as well close the team and we'll be back to the problem of 7 teams. And rumors are that one more Proleage team has questionable sponsor future.

EG-TL does have a team house (and as Qikz above said, PROPER COACHES) in Korea, you know that right? Yeah I know that but i'm thinking more about the after-proleague. I think (haters gonna hate) Jaedong deserves better training environnement than playing in the EG house (in the US). At least he's gonna train in korea, on korean ladder and most likely with korean training partners. I mean there are Puma and Stephano but the other guys... Most koreans who are in a foreigner team and who are successfull are still training in Korea, that is no coincidence. But for now, JD is still gonna train in korea, apparently it's gonna help 8th Team a lot to find sponsors and it also helped eg/tl to participate in SPL (helped convince Kespa). Guess it was for the best
To be honest, i think this training environment with EG-TL is WAY better than Team 8. There are players who have been playing SC2 since the start, knows a lot, if not more, about the game than recently transitioned Broodwar pros in Team 8. TL brings lot of skill and depth to the team just by having Taeja and HerO. Add Stephano and other zergs to that, I think Jaedong is in a good hands when you look at the situation Broodwar pros might be in.
And how is this helping Team 8 to find sponsors? They lost their teams "face" to another team for entire year. If anything, it worsens the situation Team 8 is in.

To be honest i actually think it's good. What EG does is bring up players that can't be marketed for shit and teach them to speak and act. What EG doesn't do is help players get better. JD has a fanbase that's huge outside korea, he only needs help interacting with it. And he isn't one to need help learning ,if he is as good as people think at least.
As long as they can afford him...

Hopefully he gets better practice and therefore become a better SC2 player with EG.
But most important to me: Jaedong stream - let it happen - gogogo

Jaedong and Stephano joins forces. That's what the headline should say! :D Greatest BW zerg joins the greatest sc2 zerg!

Grtz to EG. Hopefully he will be a great asset.

if team 8 can't get a sponsor with jaedong, for some reason i doubt they'll get a sponsor without jaedong.

Huk is still good Idra is still relevant and was just at the WCG Global Finals Suppy is 19 and was just at the WCG Global Finals Demuslim just finished at Homestory cuip not too long ago and right now is in the finals of NASL
I can't see anyone going off the team. Everyone is there mechanically, and now there is a new game coming out which a small reset.

They would cut their Koreans before him. Similar situation for Huk.
