Jaedong has always said in interviews he wanted to become closer to his foreign fans and this is a great oppurtunity for him to do it and experience more foreign events/go travelling a bit more.

Correction: Daily ESPORTS mistakenly reported earlier that Jaedong would return to Team Eight immediately should they find a sponsor. This was a misunderstanding; Jaedong's 1 year period with EG is binding.

I really hope he's still gonna stay and train in korea, with mostly koreans otherwhise... I mean... Especially after what we've heard about EG house and its training environnement.... well gratz to EG. Why would Jaedong leave Korea to practice elsewhere if he is participating in Proleague? EG-TL does have a team house (and as Qikz above said, PROPER COACHES) in Korea, you know that right?

They have an amazing roster, but at some point will have to consider either changing the status of certain people from "player/progamer" to "PR representative" or plain and simple let someone go. If not - holy cow, those sponsors need to be praised big time. Nonetheless, amazing addition. Looking forward to see him perform at more foreign events. If you're talking about InControl. He probably does more to promote EG and all it's sponsors than any (other) player on EG. I agree seeing him in the player lineup compared to the monsters that are on there seems wrong, but I really really doubt InControl isn't pulling his weight (no pun intended).

I think (haters gonna hate) Jaedong deserves better training environnement than playing in the EG house (in the US). At least he's gonna train in korea, on korean ladder and most likely with korean training partners. I mean there are Puma and Stephano but the other guys... Most koreans who are in a foreigner team and who are successfull are still training in Korea, that is no coincidence. But for now, JD is still gonna train in korea, apparently it's gonna help 8th Team a lot to find sponsors and it also helped eg/tl to participate in SPL (helped convince Kespa). Guess it was for the best
