You've successfully taken WCG 2012. Please tell us your thoughts.

I was naturally guaranteed to be the victor, so I don't feel too excited. I'm simply glad that I was able to preserve Korea's championship victory record.

During the first set, you quickly scouted your opponent's proxy Stargate. Had you anticipated this in advance?

My opponent's Gateways were supposed to be up and running when I first scouted him, but he wasn't producing any units out of them, so I was sure that there was a proxy building somewhere. When I checked the 6 o'clock position, I found the Stargate.

During the second set, you confronted your opponent with a Phoenix composition followed by Immortals. Didn't you feel vulnerable?

Had my opponent been a good player, I would have felt vulnerable, but I believed that I would easily be able to block his attack and win the game. After seeing with my Phoenixes that my opponent was going for Blink Stalkers, I decided to use the power of Immortals.

My god, the confidence, it's so emboldening. <3 Grats parting

While over confidence is parting to the core, if you saw the player pool for WCG you would know that parting was heavy favorite to win.

Yeah honestly when I saw the line up at the start it was just parting all the way with a chance of marineking or younghwa beating him. They both choked so...

No it's not. It is because of the way he talked down on his opponent in a public interview, doesn't have anything to do with who did it to whom (and it's not cool at all that you're indirectly accusing us of racism). I don't mind some mild trash talking before a match, I don't mind a little bit of in game taunting like manner mules, I don't mind being confident and letting the world know about it in interviews, but after a match the loser has to accept his loss (SC2 convention is typing a gg and not trying to belittle the winner's accomplishment) and a winner shouldn't keep on beating his opponent after he admitted defeat.
Call it old-fashioned, but that is fair play/honor to me.

When he says "Had my opponent been a good player", we have to understand that it's all in the context. Relatively speaking, compared to the top players, his opponent is not a good player.
We need to bear in mind that Starcraft is extremely competitive, and even though Adelscott can be considered a good player, compared to the best players, well he's not that good at all.

Parting has some of the best interviews out there. Dont think it was that big of a diss on Adel, by not a good player just meant that he wasnt Code S quality player and im sure everyone would agree.

I'm slightly upset because i know that AdelScott can beat PartinG in maybe one out of five matches, specially because it's PvP. It's not nearly as justified as it was in BW to look down on foreigners like that. But it's probably seen as cool in Korea and that's why PartinG said it.

And yeah, you can't even name 10 but nice hyperbole there.

[...]

1. Fucking learn to write paragraphs. Not being able to take 30 sec to format your text reflects poorly on your statements.
2. Don't venture into xenophobia.
3. PartinG is a arrogant douche. Stephano could be placed in that category but what he has going for him is that when he loses, he takes it like a professional player and always say he should have played better. The difference here is that PartinG is saying "I am better than my opponent so it's only natural that I win" whereas Stephano is saying "I am better than my opponent so I must play better better than him in order to win."
4. It's funny how you try to insult us. See #4

I think there is no needs to answer to this guy. Like you said, everything in his text stinks racism : old grudge against stephano, enjoying Korean players that trash "white guys" like he said... Poor troll. That being said, I hope for PartinG that he will live up to his attitude, we have already seen player rising at the top for two or three months and then disappear.

PartinG's only speaking the truth lol, don't get butthurt. You can't seriously believe that Adelscott was much of a challenge, even in PvP.

One time, Jaedong beat some guy in WCG and said in an interview that he thought he was playing against the computer. Don't remember anybody complaining about that.
