Why would an OSL champion care about Global Dishwasher League?

Yeah, why should OSL champion should care about Global Dishwasher League, when he just got knocked out of it last time.

uhm money, prestige and fame just to mention some of the things he would achieve from winning. He just started up in a new game and if he would be able to build up a reputation of being a champion, that would be logical.

There is prestige and fame involved in Global Dishwasher League?

I don't understand Rain's decision. He had a good shot to be in the finals or get to the semis at least ... again and to cement his high profile. Giving up Code-S when one was a semifinalist in the previous season doesn't make any sense to me. Even if he wins the MLG (which is possible, given his recent performance) I don't think he took a good step for his career.

But it is his decision. Who am I to criticize a GSL semifinalist and an OSL champion? GL HF, Rain.

5 GSLs a year. This is the last one for 2012.

Maybe even last WoL GSL, no one knows. If you count the arenas, there are way more MLGs per year than GSLs, and it should go without saying that requalifying for Code S is way, way harder than qualifying for group play in MLG.

Just give it time. MLG is in a few hours and WCS global finals are in 2 weeks. If he wins both then he is excused, especially if it's wcs ($100,000 1st prize lulwut).

But if he does poorly in both then doesn't make Code S next season...

Yes it does, he is at the top right now, and with all the tournaments coming up he will pick up more money than the GSL can offer.

Now, postponing the entire GSL for 1 day wouldn't hurt them I don't get why they don't just move it until the week after.

Rain is just confident. He will win MLG, create a hype overseas, and then go and win GSL next season.

all the other groups have similar schedule problems and it would most unfair to them if they were to be moved
