Man some of you guys are fucking assholes.

When you do half as much for Starcraft that Moletrap has done, you can sit here and talk shit about him in a "farewell" video.

Moletrap, good luck in your future endeavors. I'm glad you got a chance to fulfill your dreams.

Best of luck to him. Love him or hate him, he's contributed a lot to the community, and I'm sure he'll continue to do so.

There are many other jobs in esports besides casting. Managing tournament or team.

If he had so much passion for SC2, why didn't his game knowledge improve over the last like year and a half? I've never facepalmed so much during a cast. I used to watch Moletraps BW vods and enjoyed his inside look on the korean scene when he did videos for his youtube channel, so I don't dislike the guy at all, but I don't see how his knowledge of SC2 could have stagnated OVER A YEAR AGO while remaining a professional caster if he was really so 'passionate'. Probably just loved BW and gave up on SC2.

honestly people give him a ton of shit for his casting, his casting really wasn't that bad... he just didn't play the game at a high level or watch enough pro games to know what he is talking about. Granted that is a huge part of casting - huge - he brought a ton of excitement to every cast, a lot of what most casters lack; Genuine passion.

Good luck moletrap

Echoing everyone else, pity his casting wasnt the same level as his passion. Sucks that he was never really able to sort it out.

Dang, I was hoping to get a job in Korea soon and if I did, I was looking forward to getting to see Moletrap again. Glad I got to meet him in the past though, he always seemed like a cool guy with a lot of enthusiasm put into his casting.

What moletrap has done for starcraft? LOL. Look at what Starcraft did for Moletrap. He was the least talented caster in the scene after maybe HD and Husky, and was pretty much derelict when he landed a miracle job with Gom. I have to believe that pity got him that job, and convenience/low cost got him the job with OGN. I think it would be safe to assume that he was the lowest paid caster in Korean SC2. He had the exact same reaction from the fans as Kelly Milkies did, but somehow managed to dig his claws into the scene anyway. People have been hating his casting since the day he began at Gom, but he stuck around like a parasite, ruining game after game with his overzealous shoutcasting. I think that this was a desperation move in his life much more so than anything he really earned or deserved.

He was the sidekick to the best English caster that BW had to offer, which really isn't saying much for those days. This should have happened ages ago when hundreds of complaints rose about his casting style. He rode that title WAY further than it should have ever been ridden.

Sorry Moletrap, your passion was there but that doesn't translate to casting ability. GL finding an outlet, or possibly a marketable skill, within the world of e-sports.

Moletrap has always been one of my favorite casters from Broodwar, and even in SC2. He has done everything when it comes to casting, from uploading his casts onto youtube to casting live games in Korea. Whatever the family reason is that he is leaving, his heart is in the right place. Family always comes first. Too bad he was not able to win over his haters. Once he lost them in the GSL it seems like they never wanted to give him another chance. It is their loss. Best of luck to Moletrap and once the situation with his family settles down I hope to see more of him in the future.

Just to summarise the video for those who don't want to watch the whole thing; he's leaving Korea for personal reasons, related to family. He didn't embellish on this in the video but did stress that he isn't leaving Korea because life is difficult there.

I thought, at one point, Grubby said he would cast OSL. I would watch all the VODs and broadcasts if that were the case.
