I initially got into pro BW through Moletrap and the other SC2GG casters, so regardless of anything else I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for him.

I remember listening to commentaries from Moletrap that he recorded in his car because he didn't have any other options. That's passion. The fact that he could work his way up from that to casting the OSL finals live in Korea is something that he should always be proud of.

All the best to him where ever he ends up next.

While I didn't think he was the best in SC2, I will say I always enjoyed his BW casts. He just never felt right to me in SC2, and he sometimes went overboard on the hyperbole and screaming during the wrong moments. I hope his family reasons are okay, and I think he would be good behind the scenes. Also having to do two leagues at the same time, LoL and SC2, when he was not close to being the best at either, really spread him thin. Instead of being able to focus on one game and become the best at that, he had to juggle two different e-sports.

Some people hated his casting, or the fact that he left SC2 to cast LoL so people feel betrayed or whatever. Personally, I got into him from his BW casts on youtube. It was literally one of the few shining beacons during those days and was the only chance I had to watch BW games unless you stayed up super late back then. I still give him tons of props for the shitload of VODs he put out over the years.

Moletrap loved Brood War, but never really got into the SC2 as a game, its new players, and its own stories. He is a remarkable character who contributed much to eSport, and he will be missed, just not for casting SC2.

I actually liked him O_o.. and im usually elitist when it comes to casters, but he made the game entertaining and didnt do calls as bad as Joresar with his carriers wasting interceptors on larvas O_o on plasma shield upgrade for air and more haha..

Would like to see Axlav or Orb in osl, both competent analytic casters with good knowledge of the game.
