Guess so. Its understandable though. "I'm getting too old for this shit" is more like it. I wouldn't be surprised if he's starting to get burned out. Like someone who's been teaching for 30 years and still has to worry about his students acting like immature, whiny babies. I actually dont believe its something like "im getting too old for this shit". Boxer (to me) is not the kind of man to tell someone to fuck off for his own sake. Cant really explain what i mean, but i seriously believe that Boxer takes that stuff more seriously than we do, up to a point leading to depression. He put in 100k of his own money (as i read here), so no, hes not getting too old for this shit.
And he's not leaving the scene either (moving back to SKT T1), so I don't mean that he's going to retire. But I think he's shocked and dismayed (and appropriately so) that these newer players and newly successful players are so disrespectful towards him and others who have put in countless hours to make the scene blossom, considering he's going back to his old team to try and rediscover his passion.
He's probably been hanging around Tasteless too long.

Oh man...this sucks. So many good players on the market now.(QQ Genius).Puzzle and coca to LoL wtf..sad day for esports

I'm sorry but most of this falls on Jessica's shoulders. This is all written from per perspective and it still sounds like she's at fault.

You don't really know Boxer do you ? (that sound a bit harsh but it's not)
Watched like all of his interviews, his biography. I can see that the man live for Starcraft. He can't stop.

Sad to see teams disband. I hope that the players find other teams to continue their careers.

Even if this is just one side of the story you can safely say there's been a lot of shitty things happening in the team (and the korean scene in general).

Hmmz. Just realised how awkward it'd probably be in their final GSTL match...

Until now, for myself, i'll boycoyt every MMA match for what it's worth (meaning nothing). As a huge fan and follower of Boxer i really can't understand how you could disrepect the man.
If this kids can be paid playing video game, it's because of him. Oh please, is anybody seriously buying this "he did x, so now I don't want to play" bs? MMA is just used as scapegoat and excuse. Why not ? Did you never have a passion that somebody crushed ? I've had a few situations where I was given a mild push into direction I was going to anyway.
Then you are quite a lucky man. Whas this passion something you gave your WHOLE life ?

Is it any wonder that players were mad at him if his girlfriend and team manager is believed to be embezzling money and he does nothing?
Basically, if their suspicions were at all reasonable (and considering even Jessica says most players believed it, apparently they were. . .or SlayerS players are just all stupid) then showing anger at your team owner for apparently not investigating or being transparent seems reasonable.

Some teams gotta do what they gotta do to be sponsored

Would be awesome to have such a sponsor, though.

You know, if Jessica's joining Boxer's side at SKT1, there's motive for her to start painting a bad picture on ESF federation and their teams. Just a curious speculation.

Jessica's book on how to handle players :
1. If any problem or complain with/from a player should arise, send that player home. 2. Do not contact him about his future and wait until he come back to pick up his bag to demote him or expulse him. 3. Complain publicly that you were their mom and you would have done everything for them, except listen. 4. Fail utterly.

I am really sad that Puzzle is going to LoL.

That you for translating this, a lot of work. This news/drama is really depressing. I was hoping that BoxeR would return after assisting with SKT1 to restore SlayerS back to the strong team it was when it won the GSTL, but those hopes are definitely squashed now. To make things worse, Puzzle and Coca, two players I enjoyed watching, will now be playing LoL instead of SC2 . Now to wait for the final pieces to this article. Once again, thank you frequency!

From this translation it seems like she usually tried to do the right things, but she's just too emotional. Wonder what the others have to say. I believe there have been past events that have contributed to general community dislike of Jessica. She's quite known for creating unnecessary drama. For that reason, I do hope that she doesn't interfere with SKT T1. She's not generally known for creating drama (she's actually very much drama-free in terms of being a celerity), but she is known to have a hot temper. The main root cause is not Jessica, but it is the way Slayers players were treated from other pro-gamers in Korea. They were being bullied and treated as outcasts. Well also it seems that the SlayerS players themselves had a problem with authority and would attack one another or strongly take sides (and even get a little too big for their britches, so to speak)... but yes, I agree that the collapse seems to be more centered around the players, rather than Jessica. But I think when you remember things like how she tried suing someone for "cyber defamation" because she got insulted online... a lot of times she creates mountains out of molehills. You have to experience the Korean culture to understand the "bullying" that's going on here. Many kids commit suicides every year because of it. And, there is just a general negative attitude and energy around the one who's being bullied. If half of Jessica's story is based on truth, especially the part about how Slayers have been bullied by other teams, then I completely understand how some of the players wanted to "get out" of the team behind Jessica's back. After all, in the eyes of players, "someone" had to take the blame for the situation that they were in. This wasn't what they signed up for. And then, you have a moron like Alicia who's completely got a wrong mindset.
Well to be fair, Korea isn't unique in that aspect lol. That's a universal problem. Every week, you hear about a suicide victim of bullying and read an article about it on TL- most of them are from America. Everywhere has prejudice and ignorance and people unfairly ganging up on others, etc.
I'm not dismissing the fact that SlayerS was being attacked by other teams. But a bunch of the SlayerS players did dumb things too, independent of that. There's just pretty much a lot of bad things that contributed to the downfall of the team, I'd say.
