these people just have terrible business skills and all they do is fight with each other. Ultimately, the whole Korean scene suffers because what legitimate sponsor want their reputation diminished by associating with people like that? they can't even conduct their business and eSports in a civilized manner, airing all their dirty laundry for all to see. All of them should be ashamed of themselves! BTW the real truth is somewhere in between what Coach won and Jessica says, and between what Jessica and Alicia says.

A Fomos article has what appears to be a preliminary statement from eSF chair Mr. Won (also Startale head coach). It seems unlikely that this is all the eSF has to say, and more will probably follow. But for now, here are the statements from the Fomos article.

"We have things to say as well... ...we admit to a degree that there was friction with SlayerS, but it's not something over a couple of days, so if one side comes out emotionally, the problem can't help but expand. It's unfortunate that this situation occurred."

"If we really wanted to ostracize SlayerS, we could have excluded them very thoroughly, but that's not the case at all. Instead, we did a lot together, and worked to treat them the same as other teams even though they were not part of the federation... ...there was a time where [players were] ordered not to practice [with SlayerS players], but it was only for a short period. There is no ban now. At the time, SlayerS kept acting selfishly, so the teams had no choice but to cooperate and penalize them."

And here's the response

http://www.playxp.com/sc2/bbs/view.php?article_id=4190932&search=3&search_pos=&q=

[...omitted...]

It was temporary?

The NASL Season 3 Finals were in July. [Note: She may mean Season 1 or Season 2, given the other dates in the post]

The penalty on our team started after the preliminaries [Note: she may mean regular season] were over, so it must have began at latest by June?
Maybe even before then, but I forget the exact date when the preliminaries ended.

I knew that it was refusal to practice, but I didn't think it would be so severe.
I decided that I couldn't just let it be, and went to talk to coach Won about the serious ostracizing problem in December of last year (we moved the team house on Dec 28th, and I met him in Yeo-ui-Do where our team house was then).
There, I first informed him of our team's stance.
You told me without shame, that it's cheap of you to do so, but you would resort to it to sanction SlayerS.
I couldn't get you to remove the ban, and I continued to appeal it after we moved our team house.

In February, Ryung needed to prepare for a TvT, but I heard that he couldn't find any Terrans. (At the time, Genius had practiced with MMA for the semi-finals, but when Ryung asked MVP players for practice in TvT, he couldn't get help).
Our team's Terrans had a lot of different things on the schedule, so I told him to practice with his friends on other teams, but I learned that we were still being ostracized and banned from practice.

I gave final notice to Mr. Won who as at tournament in the USA at that time, and I finally received an email on March 7th that it had been lifted.
Temporary? That's at least 10 months by rudimentary calculation.

Do you want me to reveal the truth?
Head Coach Won.
I told you clearly, it was something that a Startale player told one of our players very recently.
For whatever reason, acting like a bully can't be forgiven.

Yea he did, it seems. There is a screenshot image of his post that's going around though..so he can't undo what he did.
He probably took it down after seeing how the communities were reacting to it.

How did the community react?
It was only poster a few hours ago, how could something have already happened?

Boy, I'm so behind this whole thing.

Ace mentions that Coach Won told the players to not practice with Slayers, which is what a lot of people were criticizing Coach Won about since he was head of ESF and Slayers is claiming there was a training embargo and outcasting of Slayers by the ESF. But Ace's post made it look like he made that incident like nothing big by saying the embargo order was taken away within a month, and that people were criticizing Coach Won over petty things.

t all started when Slayers decided not to join the Federation. Its just that simple. Slayers had the best sponsor (Intel) at the beginning, they had Boxer as their icon, they won GSTL twice in a row, so the Federation thought what a cocky motherfucker who thinks she can succeed without joining them lets teach her a lesson.

Despite my respect to Jessica's courage, passion and decisiveness, she lacked the intelligence, experience and management skill to deal with what Federation gonna throw at Slayers. The fact that she believed in everything the coaches from Federation told her about NASL and the practice restrictions proved that she didn't even predict that Federation was going to do something on her team. I even believe that Mr J comes from the Federation as well. I can see why the young players were easily influenced by the boycott from other team since the Manager didn't have the skill to shield them from all these.

The killing blow that proved Jessica is no manager material was when she decided to discontinue some foreign sponsorships and thinks that she can run the team by her own. Unless the team is owned by Abu Dhabi or Abramovich, u need steady sponsorships to bring your team to a better place. What will the players think when the manager cut off sponsors? "For god sake our team will never be rich enough to pay us salary one day" Be realistic, the players gave up studies and other job, hoping to make a living with pro gaming. If you really care for the players, sometimes u need to put down your pride and meet the sponsors requirement.

This is the saddest day of my SC2 life, not because of the Slayers team, but we might never see Boxer coming back as a progamer anymore.

Hey man, BoxeR wasn't going to back to progaming regardless of SlayerS' fate.

Sad Day. Sc2 dead? hope not.

Slayers has been dead for a while. SC2 isn't dead.

SC2 is like a city with a few restaurants. Now KeSPA has moved into the town and laid done some more places to eat. Teams and players are going to leave the food biz and find something else to do. It's going to be a dog eat dog world where only the strong survive.

What?!
I was actually thinking the other way around. That Sc2 has been dying for a while in korea. And what do you mean slayers has been dead for a while? Seemed fine prior to the announcement.

Slayers looked really bad, and then they had their team league finals which was their last hope, and they were all killed. Add the death of the king of Code A into that and they have basically been dead to me for a decent time before this announcement. I was just wondering how the team would resurge, but it didn't.

As for Sc2 slowly dying, not yet. OGN just came in and kespa players. GSL is sustained by foreign monies(us) so I'm doubtful they can die and OGN isn't tanking yet.

So yes, Slayers has been deadish and no SC2 doesn;t look like it is dieing, in my opinion.

Only reason why Kespa was special is because of their governmental influences with AirForce Ace so that players will have a brighter future in progaming.

Now that Ace have disbanded because of StarCraft 2's failure, Kespa is just any other organization that is dwindling in shape.

According to Jessica, Boxer was planning to come back playing around HOTS released but the Slayers drama drained all his passion away.

He joined SKT a while ago, one of the most successful teams in BW, now a sc2 team. He is probably happy right now.

More importantly, it's also the team he created first.

I wouldn't trust them on the "short period". I had looked at GSL interviews in April and May, and none of the Slayers members thanked any practice partners outside of their team. In fact, going back further in the months, I still don't see them thanking members of the ESF teams for practice at all.

According to Jessica's post, the practice ban went on for at least 10 months. In Blizzard's term, 10 month definitely qualifies as short period, or "soon".

The practice ban on SlayerS and TSL lasted one month. TSL patched up the relationship while SlayerS still refused to join ESG. The "unofficial" ban on SlayerS was indefinite.

Holy shit, this is probably the worst thing to happen to the stacraft 2 community ever. What Jessica is saying is absolutely atrocious. The only thing comparable would be the bw match fixing scandal or the KESPA pull out of GOM.

For some reason there is a very popular circle jerk around here and Reddit to claim that everything Jessica says is wrong and that she is cancerous.

I don't know why it developed, she seems in the right here and many other times.

Oh please, MMA looked as happy as he did after being HongUn (when the MMA incident broke out) when he beat Boxer at MLG Anaheim. If you don't know what I mean, he looked unhappy. It was also a big deal when Taeja's final match in up and downs, which wouldn't do anything for Taeja himself, got Boxer into Code S one last time.

There is no ban now. At the time, SlayerS kept acting selfishly, so the teams had no choice but to cooperate and penalize them."

And here's the response

WTF

At the end of everything fucking thing she wrights there is a threat to someone @_@

Hey man, BoxeR wasn't going to back to progaming regardless of SlayerS' fate.

You're wrong

"He was preparing to return before the release of Heart of the Swarm but at that time he was tried to stop playing"

Please read OP properly.

Nope, you didn't pay attention to 2nd 1/2 of the sentence. Please read fully.

I think you're the one that needs to pay attention. I underlined it for you.

BoxeR wanted to come back before HotS but this whole drama mess made him change his mind and quit.

"Boxer's Change of Heart

First, we were very hurt to hear the contracts be called slave contracts. Boxer knew how hard it was for players over ten years ago, and he tried to create the best environment possible for his players. He received a lot of criticism when he left his origins for StarCraft2, but it was his dream to continue as a player and grow new players for the future of esports. Thus, he was crushed when he heard that from MMA, a player he had taken close care of. At the time, Boxer had been preparing to return as a player before the release of Heart of the Swarm, but he changed his mind towards quitting the game.

Boxer was quickly losing his passion as player and manager, and it was tough on me as I watched it happen.
He was teaching the players his 10 + years of experience in and outside the game, but the players weren't readily accepting it. So I suggested something that would help him, help T1, and perhaps motivate the remaining players on SlayerS. After thinking about it for a few days, Boxer decided that would be the best course of action.

Welp.

If this only involved the players, that would be one thing, but I don't know whether I want to follow a Starcraft 2 scene that's run by a bunch of big babies who would rather point fingers to save face than apologize
