Ah, I see.
Well, that's just unfortunate. People say silly shit like this jokingly all the time, but sadly for Stephano, he said it to someone that was streaming and got caught. Yes, child molestation and the like isn't a joking matter, but we can't white knight and pretend like we've never joked about taboo subjects.
Well, he's going to Korea anyway.

PS, I don't care either way, I think the world just needs to get over themselves for a French 19 year old acting like he's still in high school bragging about banging chicks, not realizing that he's a huge star in the SC2 community and everything he says can and will be used against him.
You clearly care enough to make a comment. When a professional sports player misconducts, do they take time off? They are suspended from participating in tournaments and leagues but still has to train, just so happens that training in SC is best done in Korea. I don't see any problem with this. At the end of the day he is still an EG player and EG will want him to continue practicing to well represent them with tournament success...

I think teams have a disproportionate sense of the negative impacts of comments, and that a future struggle in esports will be discerning how serious teams should respond to complaints. I'm pretty plugged into the community, but I heard nothing about the Stephano "controversy" [seemingly a joke] nor the destiny "controversy" until the teams actually punished their players and publically apologized. I highly doubt anyone on reddit, a small population of the total viewership no doubt, actually gave a shit. EG and ROOT engage in behaviours - probably due to sponsor pressure - that simply arent necessary. Sponsors or teams need to wise up and interpret these complaints for what they are. Meaningless white noise.

Yes but those are adult males, not underage girls.

When you hire a player like stephano you know he WILL do stuff like that, stephano is a real buzzmaker and he enjoys it. Millenium had to face those kind of situation and even worse a lot and they didn't go apeshit for it. Seriously EG i'm dissapointed.
EG (read as: sponsors) are paying him out the ass to perform on a world stage in front of tens of thousands. Shenanigans will only be tolerated so far. No one with good sense can imagine a situation where making a joke which can easily be interpreted as a confession of raping an underaged girl in a public setting while representing your employer will be brushed off. With income comes responsibility. If he doesn't act responsibly, he shouldn't be rewarded with income.
Bravo EG.

who the hell cares what he said.
Obviously the organization Stephano represents cares when he makes statements of possibly performing illegal acts on a minor.

you know europe consists of many different countries yes? All with different ages of consent?

How much is a month's pay for Stephano? Around $10k?

good to know this community cares more about calling sponsors than being immature brats who have no business in these things
sad for the players that they can't even joke around without being punished
this community is getting worse and worse, everytime i see an article talking about how the esports community is drawn to "18-30" year olds, I think it's kind of bullshit since there are obviously a bunch of 15 year old prima donnas

well sorry that i don't understand those shitty american morals. Because it doesn't shock me in the slightest !
And you ask me should they have done nothing ? well hell yes.
You people act like it was real...was there any legal proceedings ? No. Then its just words by a buzzmaker.

I accept responsibility for my mistake, and I will be more careful in the future.” It's just me or this part sounds fake as hell? Stephano might be sorry, but this quote seems to be something that someone at EG wrote and not Stephano himself, it just doesn't sound like him.
Wouldn't be the first faked player statement in esports. They didn't even try to make it believable, so I guess the statement is just for the sponsors.

Starcraft needs a badass.
Gotta love Stephano even more after this :D

Wait a sec, I just realized.
Does this mean that the day after someone posted a thread about SC2 dramas, an SC2 drama appeared? 0_o Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

He didn't post it He was joking casually with bling whitout knowing he was streaming ##

What the fuck? If Stephano was trolling, I don't see how that would be funny in the first place. I can't think of how idiotically immature you'd have to be to find that funny.
