How could you possibly know how much discussion there has been.

but it's sad to see that sc2 also bows to political correctness in cases where it's clearly unnecessary. That guy is 19, he is still a child more or less. Also who cares? I don't I get why EG reacted though.

Thats kind of strange. Statutory sex would match more the situation.. The (original) idea is that a child can't give informed consent because they aren't mature enough (i.e. the child might think that anyone who has sex wants to start a relationship with them or something). The current laws don't quite match that philosophy--for one thing, 18 is too old for that argument to hold--but we still use the term 'statutory rape' to mean having sex with someone under-age.

I'm sure he feels the same. Also makes it more unlikely that he was joking. Obviously there's no way to know for sure. I do find it hilarious though that everyone thinks this has been blown way out of proportion and doesn't look that bad when Stephano himself immediately realized he had fucked up and put himself in serious trouble.

I'm pretty sure that the opinion of the people providing the checks that fund your business are more important than the community's opinion of you. TL/reddit doesn't pay Stephano's salary. EG does. And EG is reliant on their sponsors. Ugh, the ignorance in this thread is astounding. What happened to TL...

He apparently isn't being paid but guess who paid for his plane ticket to Korea. He is receiving funds to continue 'work' during the month, and he isn't missing out on a single event he would want to be at. he isn't suspended, this is a PR stunt. you may now carry on arguing Yeah it's basically no big deal/formality.

Tbh Idra said x times more often things more "heavy" and they did not do squat. I dont consider EG a proper team tbh , it s more of a marketing enterprise as they just buy good players "at the moment" to market them. Almost none of there players actually improved or stayed at the same level after being acquired pro house and all... Like what. What has IdrA ever said that compared to having sex with a minor? You believe saying "fuck you" 20x to a person is worse than saying "I had sex with a 14 yo" once?

This literally disgusts me, no one here has any idea if this is a joke and no one knows the context except for Stephano. Half the people here has clearly never met anyone who has been raped or they would not defend him or make jokes about this. Joking about raping a child is not normql. I am glad EG did something about it, hopefully he won't make such tasteless jokes in the future. (I really hope it was a JOKE)

Was he prosecuted or even accused by any legal authority ? Not that I know of. It's a completely ridiculous way to justify getting a free discount out of his paycheck. Should we have the industry EG so dearly wishes to create, Stephano's agent would be filling a formal opposition to this unilateral decision right now. Also I'm waiting for a hypocritical statement of Mr. Robinson, the truth seeker, very soon.

It's obvious that Stephano was in no way serious about the comments made (definitely understand the shock-value comedy he was going for) however he needs to realize that EG has some of the highet standards of any team in eSports. Saying things that, even in context, are just downright questionable, could have an impact on the entire brand he now represents. Hopefully this suspension let's him know that EG aren't going to let him run the show as it seems he did with his last team. GL in Korea Stephano, become even more of a monster in the next month and crush face the rest of 2012 (GSL?!?)

They pay him a shitton of money and all he has to do is play ball. LOL people complain about Koreans being "boring" (horseshit), I hope you find the best foreigner really exciting now!

Also, question - if sex with a 14 year old is funny, what about 12? How about 9? I want to know where the line is so I know how to craft my "jokes" for maximum effect. Violentacrez approves of Stephano's joke (as he cries that his life is now ruined now that he's been outed). It still jokes. Weird jokes maybe, but jokes. And it makes people laugh.

Even if you find his humor in poor taste he still has a right to joke about things he himself finds funny between him and a friend.
