The ability to play at the highest level doesn't make you automatically fit to teach, and the inability to play at the highest level doesn't make you unfit to teach. Keep an eye on them, let them do whatever it is within the scene that they do that has nothing to do with playing themselves. Aside from morals and other subjective things, I don't see what that would hurt. I will in no way defend their actions, just ask that we're smarter in handling this than we have been in the past. I would NOT say she was doing "good" for the scene with her coaching. She was advertised as a GM level player coaching and the people who received her coaching was expecting that. While you have a point that you don`t need to be GM to be a good coach, the point is that people were misled she was GM and that is most likely a big factor in their decision to have her coach. This false advertisement is more bad than good. If she did other things behind the scenes that didn`t involve taking money from and misleading people, I would agree with your post. | ||
