Like Badfatpanda, I have been asked not to speak publicly about this, but I’ll repeat that there is no NDA restricting me against it, and so I will make my statement. What I say in this post does not reflect the opinions of z33k.com, Z33K.TV or any of their affiliates, in any way. Vera was a fantastic administrator. She was able to establish contacts, get events, sponsors etc. better than anyone else I have worked with in my career thus far. As a team (especially but not exclusively: Vera, Badfatpanda, Rifkin, and I), we were able to secure casting for the TSL4 qualifiers, Pokerstrategy League, and most recently, Dreamhack Valencia (among other events). I have been a part of Z33K.TV for almost 6 months now, and since Vera took over 4 months ago, the organization has shown fantastic growth. I was not privy to the investigation of the claims against Vera, so I can't speak to those, but I will raise some points that I have observed over the past few months. The most common questions surrounding Veralynn were “When is she going to join a team?” and “When are we going to see Veralynn at a LAN?” The constant dodging of these questions with answers like, “I don’t see what a team can offer me,” and, “I’m just not ready yet,” became so common that it seemed a bit suspicious after a while. Since this revelation, other instances of somewhat odd behaviour have begun to make sense. Furthermore, what I am experiencing most at the moment is a feeling of betrayal. Over the past 4 months, my professional relationship with Veralynn evolved into what I considered to be a close friendship. We would talk multiple times daily on both professional matters of z33ktv and just friendly banter. To say that it’s disappointing that this relationship was fundamentally built on a lie would be a gross understatement. The evidence compiled in the OP by Kawaiirice, Badfatpanda, and anyone else who was involved is all but irrefutable. I agree that the only way for her to prove her innocence would be for her to play against DeathAngel in a 1v1 game, with cameras displaying both players’ faces and hands. It’s past the point where streaming with a webcam will cut it. Vera, if you’re reading this, I implore you to admit to your mistakes if you cannot prove your innocence. It will only go worse for you if you continue to fight this with no hope of winning. With this post, I will be severing all ties with Z33K.TV. My team will continue to play in the Z33K.TV Proleague, excluding that I wish to have no further involvement with z33k.com or Z33K.TV. That being said, all of the casters at Z33K.TV are incredibly competent and deserve your support. While Veralynn may have been a fraud, I am confident that she was acting on her own, that nobody within Z33K.TV had any idea what was going on, and that none of the team would have condoned this had they known of it. I have read Lane’s statement on the matter and it is clear that we have very different ideas of where to go from here, and so I will be leaving Z33K.TV immediately. I would like to thank every single one of the casters for making my time at Z33K.TV a very enjoyable one. I’ve had the opportunity to make a good number of new friends, and I wish them well in their future endeavors. Additionally, I would like to extend my thanks to everybody involved in unearthing this fraud. It was a massive amount of work, and it cannot have been easy for those who were close to Vera to work on this. Finally, I would also like to extend my apologies to Sjow, Desrow, Cytoplasm, Ziktomini, Tarson, Chanman V, Sixpoolgaming and everybody involved with the AGL Invitational. I deeply regret working with Vera for the past 4 months, and I only wish that I would have caught on sooner.

Sigh, guess I shouldn't just post that though. It just seems like there has to be a better way of dealing with these situations than throwing the suspect into the ravenous mob that is the SC2 Community.

She needs to be severely punished for this...not only suspension from z33k and SPG, but a one year IP and Global Hardware Ban from Wings of Libery and HoTS when that comes out. Also, DeathAngel needs to receive the same punishment for being an accomplice. Shit like this just hurts ESPORTS. No wonder why LoL and DotA2 are thriving while SC2 is just dying...very very slowly anyway. But if VeraLynn is innocent, then she needs proof. I say that she and DeathAngel should be guilty until proven innocent, if that.

I wrote the whole thing keeping in mind to use actual evidence because I didn't want this to be another stupid pitchfork drama thread. But it's important for these things to be publicized so nobody will ever support a fraud like Vera again. Keeping it quiet does not achieve the same purpose.
