In most cases it's caused by something like a rib fracture, previous surgery around that area, or just a really bad wound. maybe even asthma or pollution in the air. But if he doesn't have any of these it's possible that it's just spontaneous pneumothorax.
Does anyone know if pneumothorax is common in Korea? Maybe the air in SK is cluttered with fumes and gases. Which could also be a cause. Who knows though.
I hope for a swift recovery!!
