"According to ESFI sources" Sorry but that's garbage style news. Nobody here is surprised so we all accept this immediately - myself included. But as a general way of conducting the delivery of news, that kind of crap does not cut it.

Reputable site who has never lied or written exaggerated news.
One of the first to break news about RGN disbanding, the end of Check6 and untangled the Gwin drama bullshit?

Not really garbage style. Maintaining good sources, without revealing name, but giving detailed numbers.

Being reputable in the situation is indeed a positive. However, to do so necessitates that they regularly create a circumstance where their product is quite like that of rumor mills, which is ultimately a compounding negative in my book. It's simply unprofessional to require a leap of faith from your audience, even if you've lubed them up for that - given the fact-sensitive nature of the business.

I'M SHOCKED.

On a more serious note, grats to him. $96k is pretty good. He certainly has some amazing Zerg practice partners to work with over there.

Plural? Multiple amazing zerg practice partners? I can think of one who might qualify as amazing, and a few who definitely don't - especially when compared to the man himself.

Incontrol tells a more specific number on the salary. Sick number if it's true.

I'm pretty sure that's a troll or something. I don't see EG being able to afford that lol xD

Fortunately for EG, I am sure that they are willing to assess the player and person on more than a handful of games from one weekend.

I think TSL had better Zerg practice partners than EG. Stephano is going to be the flagship Zerg of EG now, though IdrA will continue to be the most popular for sure.

8k a month...

It's a good reason why HuK, IdrA etc. don't need to win tournaments anymore.

and we have arrived at the point of the thread where people only think players only practice with their teammates. Stephano could ask almost any player in the world for some practice games and they would happen.

I think it's about time teams formally announce some of the contents of a player's contract. I believe there are a lot of players, mostly Korean, who have been taken advantage of by foreign teams because they don't know how much their worth is. Perhaps the markets aren't ready for the possibility of salary inflations like that, but public knowledge of how much each player is paid greatly legitimizes e-sports.

I'm sure they can get a clear estimate based on how much their previous Korean team was offering them and the current offer on the table. To compare the numbers of "Random B-Team Korean gone foreigner basher" to that of "Most famous foreign Zerg" would be rather ludicrous anyway...
