I mean in Baseball players often play with a team for several years while under contract. becose esport teams dont have the money to keep players that dont produce results . i guarantee you if complexity had 100 milion dolar income / year . they would sign every single pro gamer they can .

Not only that, but the cycle in progaming is MUCH shorter than in "real" sports, typically. Think of the players who have hit the peak and then dropped off pretty rapidly, or won once and then disappeared. Plus players can't always commit to progaming forever. You might get a year or two, but then realise/decide you can't make enough to justify putting off "real" life for even longer, and you need to leave. Players as well are probably very reluctant to sign for long term because they won't know what their own future holds, and there are fewer guarantees in gaming, especially as it's also such a solo effort for the most part (in SC2 that is).

Seems like a lot of Korean players who chase foreign money wind up stagnating as they get behind the general metagame, and don't win anything of note at tournaments. I doubt Complexity will exist at the end of the year
