Teams sign players so that they can get the word out for their sponsors. This is either through exposure as a personality or exposure as a good player and once in a blue moon the player can be both. For foreign teams, Koreans are usually picked up for their ability to win games (as far as I can think the only Korean to be picked up with a larger emphasis being placed on their personality over their skill at the time was Nada by coL). With the exception of the aforementioned EGMC, Killer did not perform for coL. And he certainly wasn't marketing himself as a personality (admittedly hard to do with the language barrier).

Barring some incredible upswing in his results, the best Killer can hope for as far as teams are concerned is to get signed onto a Korean team for no salary. He's either going to retire within the next month or two or he'll stick around to see if he can do well in HotS.
