Good pickup for ROOT, but terrible decision for Major I fear. How you can go from practicing with TSL and aspiring for actual professional teams to joining a "top NA team" thats basically a bunch of streamers that act funny is kind of a questionable decision. I guess its good if there weren't options but I don't see how this will benefit him as a player or help his skills. Its a shame, because Major is widely considered to have the best mechanical skill and best potential of any Foreign Terran.

His past finally caught up with him I think. Seemed like he couldn't find a team after the TSL accident and this with ROOT can be a good way of showing everyone that he has matured alot from his stay in Korea and in the future a more heavy hitting team may don't feel like it is a risk to actually sign him.

He'll have to actually stick to a team for a year or so for that to happen.

We're now announcing soon to be not ROOTmajor
We were all raised on televion that made us believe we'd all be Millionairs, Movie gods, and Rockstars..... But we won't.... We are slowly learning that fact. And we are very, very pissed off.

Finally Major gets a team, I hope we can see him in more offline events! Congrats!
With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞

I'd like to say this is nice, but I can't help but feel like it will only be trouble.

Major will eventually want to join a team that can offer him more, in which case he will leave, further hurting his reputation and future career choices. Root will just plain be pissed.

Good luck to the parties involved. Hope it turns out better than I expect.

CatZ if you read this, could you maybe give a little more insight in what way ROOT is able to support their players at the moment.
Obviously you guys aren't a team with a full management staff behind it etc, but are you able to send players to events and stuff like that or not?

Best of luck to Kitty and to ROOT. It's like all the pieces fall into place again. Lot of respect to CatZ and ROOT for believing in second chances and having faith in peoples ability to change.

I hope this is a troll. Root has 2 sponsors, twitch.tv and another one I can't remember (+SC2Casts app?)

the way I understand it is their sponsorship with twitch makes it so they can send their players to tournaments, but they cannot afford to give the players a salary at the moment. I could be completely wrong though...

we're not done either, almost done, but we'll be announcing one more player in the next few days

Please tell me you're blackmailing Jason Lake to get Minigun back.

Oh and grats on the pickup, hope it works out.

ROOT actually has a pretty decent 5-man lineup for leagues such as IPL. Slush, TT1, Catz/Masa/Destiny/Drewbie, Vibe and then Major as ace. They could probably take down a bunch of teams right now.
