You have the original ROOT guys (Catz, Drewbie, Slush, Kiwikaki, Fayth, Destiny) Then they brought in Puck and Fitzy, who played a show match to get in. They brought in ViBe who is a damn good Zerg and won WCS USA shortly after joining ROOT. Also they just brought in MaSa who isn't fan favorite (yet at least) but is rather talented. TT1 also joined, but to say they brought him on for his fanbase, while people know who he is, he's not exactly popular. Major also isn't very popular, but rather incredibly skilled. So he definitely was recruited on performance. The only player they brought in that was from fanbase is Rotterdam. So to say that ROOT is recruiting on fanbase/notoriety rather than player performance is a dumb statement. Especially when half their recruits were unknowns when they signed them. | ||
