I also find it a bit weird we have to pay 15$ ( the price of a whole GSL season which gets you way more content in comparison ) for a WCS event while every other WCS event has been completely free to watch. Wait what!? Source on that? 'cause that's kinda BS and makes me a bit worried about the grand finals if this is a PPV event...

I was just talking about paying for the HQ.

Not to mention reality qualified through the offline prelims going through symbol, so maybe they're starting to catch up. The gap is closing, and I think the best Kespa players might be able to compete with Code A players, especially in a BoX format with time to prepare (which brings more of their BW training/build planning/coaching experience into play). I wouldn't be too surprised to see 1-2 of them make it through the first round, but advancing much past that would be a pretty huge surprise.

What I find interesting is that the kespa players that have been the most successful in sc2 thus far are not the ones anyone expected. Had you shown me these groups a year ago and told me to pick what kespa players I thought had the best shot to get through the first round I'd have taken Jaedong; Effort; and soulkey without hesitation, not my picks at the moment though.

P.S. Why did they give 6 kespa invites when those spots couldve gone to players that are capable of making at least Ro16?

Why did they give 6 kespa invites when those spots couldve gone to players that are capable of making at least Ro16? Because they gave the top ten gsl players (based on points) a seed. So it only makes sense to seed players from the other major pro sc2 (half sc2 anyway) league in Korea. Despite the clear skill gap it would still be rather unfair of Blizzard to play favorites with one league over the other. Not to mention it will draw a crowd, everyone wants to see Jaedong play as often as possible.

Yeah, that's just how it is with them these days. I like tastosis, but they do earn top dollar for working the least now. They do code S twice a week if that since sometimes they even miss that due to foreign tourneys. Wolfdor do Code A, GSTL, Up/Down and now WCS. I love tasteless, but I couldn't help but laugh in his real talk when he talked about how busy he was. Wolfdor can complain about being busy, not tastosis.

Obviously you're right about their casting workload, but in tasteless' defense I don't know much about wolfdor's lives outside of the studio. I think tasteless considers himself busy because he's doing a lot of other things outside of casting. Don't forget it's not just his korean lessons, he and Artosis have a business to run as well.
