Hope Nestea wasn't kidding about the "unending training" for OSL and WCG because he's going to need it with that group -_-

He won't make it with how he's been playing :/

Shit MKP is in the same bracket as Leenock. That'll be a tough fight.

MKP didnt lose a single bo3 against Leenock.

He is like 8-2 against him.

lost in HSC qualifiers recently also in IPL TAC

I watched every single MKP vs Leenock games in GSL. I feel like Leenock's style not good against MKP.

that was prepatch and pre-mkp tvz derp haha

Yes looks like he is seeded past the qualifiers and straight into the WCG Korea tournament.

I looked through to see if maybe all 3 representatives of Korea from 2011 were seeded but Marineking and Supernova's names are there so I guess only Mvp is seeded.

Yeah I figured he'd get seeded into the main Korea tournament. They should probably just send him straight to the WCG main tournament as Defending Champion though? Kinda weird not to have the defending champ there.

Well the WCG Korea tournament picks the three representatives of Korea each year, top 3 of the tournament go to the grand finals. You can't just seed the previous winner in every year since you only get 3 spots into the finals It's not really fair to the other players. If Mvp earns it by winning WCG Korea again ( or anywhere in the top 3 ) he can go back to defend his title.

WCG Korea is actually much harder to win than the WCG grand finals themselves. although Marineking and Supernova did not actually make it to the finals of the WCG last year, getting eliminated before they got there by foreigners. Mvp ended up carrying the flag for Korea winning both tournaments.

Unless WCG came up with some new rule that the winner of the previous year gets seeded in again and skips any nationals, and still gives 3 spots to WCG Korea it doesn't really make sense.

It's silly that only 3 people from a country so full of talent get to represent Korea in the finals, but I guess that keeps it more fair for foreigners and keeps WCG what it's supposed to be about.

SK.MC stated that he would be going to Assembly instead, yet the bracket still has his name in there...

I don't think WCG did defending champ seed for BW either so it seems ok. 13 Kespa and 17 Non-Kespa = 30 players + IMMVP + 1 Kespa seed(All the top Kespa players seemed account for...) = 32 man group stage?

No, it will be 13 Kespa + 17 Non-Kespa = 30 players qualifier round 1 -> 15 players + MVP = 16 players qualifier round 2 -> Final 3 goes to WCG

Ah, this makes more sense and it rewards MVP by giving him seed to Ro16. But 30 players --> 15 will be different. Can't do Dual tournament. I guess they can have 5 groups of 6 and do round robin and top 3 advances? Or they can do 1v1 but would seem weird.

Also, it seems the schedule will be Kespa on 27th, Groups 1-9 non Kespa on 28th, Group 10-17 non Kespa on 29th (all FXO, Slayers are in these groups to avoid conflict with GSTL)

OGN did the production for WCG Korea last year but it was also streamed on GOM, all the vods were ( and still are ) free. You can find them on GOM's website.

GOM is broadcasting WCS Korea so OGN might do WCG to split the workload, I don't think anyone knows for sure yet.

I'm not a fan of the segregation of brackets between Kespa and GSL players... the second Kespa players catch up this type of segregated bracketing will disapear, and should the GSL players fall behind, theres not a snowballs chance in hell that the SC2 scene will cater to the GSL players by giving them seperate bracketing... It all seems very biased, everyone is trying so hard to protect Kespas interests. I guess it's necessary though, we do need Kespa to successfully integrate into SC2 to bring over the BW viewerbase..

Wow for a second there I thought this was WCS and was really confused because those were already played out. I dislike the separate brackets for Kespa and non-Kespa players, but it's probably the best they could do to even the playing fields given the fact that Kespa players transitioned so recently and still have to play BW to some extent. Hopefully the Kespa representatives are able to "level-up" their skill before the two types of players meet.
