The randomness of Team League is part of what makes this so fun to follow. Players that "shouldn't" be champion end up becoming the UWC. I find it fun to see the title passed around multiple times in a single day. I keep waiting for the team match between two teams where the title gets passed every game and we have 7 or 9 different UWC's in the same day.

I agree with this. The UWC is fun. The discussion about whether to start a new one for HotS seems a valid question but I don't see why we shouldn't exclude team leagues. Otherwise I think it would rarely deviate from who won the last major individual tournament. Also, in all-kill team matches it would end with whoever won the final match, so it would go to whoever was the ace player for the winning team, and in the pro league format the players know ahead of time who their opponent will be and can prepare so there's no way to say if Roro loses his next pro league match that his opponent doesn't deserve the UWC title.

Yes, no format changes please. This is a silly thing meant to be fun, so no reason to needlessly complicate it, lol. Change things when they become impractical, like, if someone grabs the title and retires, then we can have a discussion about what to do. :p

My two cents would be, continue from current championship come HotS, and keep the teamleagues, though that seems to be the general consensus anyway.

What if Bear beats RorO, takes the title, and never plays another game again? How does the title continue? Restarts with RorO, after a time limit?

Idk. I guess that will be something that's decided if it ever comes to be. I think there was some discussion earlier in the thread about what if a player retires with it
