I am really surprised how good MaNa is considering he was in school until now and not playing fulltime... he doesn't even need someone wishing him luck in korea, he will be successful anyway
funkay is pretty good aswell but I think the main reason he is going is to support his brother, his skill is not high enough yet that a korea trip is worth it imo.
@grs MorroW organized his trip to korea by himself iirc and it had nothing to do with mousesports.

Always glad to see foreign players going to korea b/c during BW days i used to hear about how closed off Korea was to foreigners. Best of luck MaNa!

SaSe is great and is top3 foreigner imo with NaNiwa and Stephano. He will do better and better when he get to korea again imo, and when he gets the chance again in GSL he will prove how good he is!

good luckMana!! Hope youdo well!!!

Awesome news. Can't wait to see him in Korea.

MaNa is a top level talent! He'll do great if he's ready to give himself some time.

And so begins the Polish invasion of Korea.
I can already see Carmac ambushing Tastosis and painting the flag on their forehead during broadcasts.

Unfortunately, he might not even be the best in Poland right now.

Yeah, Nerchio is probably the best Polish sc2 player atm. However Mana is talented and imo it' a good thing that he goes to Korea.

BUT! Can he 2base his way through GSL as well??? Only time will tell.

glgl cant wait to see his improvements in action

Nerchio is serious contender for top3-top5 foreigner spot atm so nothing to be ashamed of. MaNa is already really skilled and has even more talent (remember from dreamhack his instant decision of destroying and rebuilding his own damaged gateway to eliminate the weak spot in his wall? you can't practice shit like that). Plus despite still being a teenager he has a ton of on- and off-line experience so perhaps he won't freak out in gsl booths. He's a perfect candidate for some Korean training.
My only regret is that in the gomhouse he won't communicate with Korean pros and coaches. MaNa is a very friendly and hard working guy, one of very few foreigners who tries to learn some Korean. He would fit perfectly in one of pro teamhouses.

nerchio > mana wcs 2012 afaik, rly recent

Yeah, Nerchio is MaNa's nemesis. Also, one win against Stephano doesn't change the fact that his weakest matchup is PvZ (he's the first one to tell you that). His other matchup are much better.

so 2 Protoss foreigners in the gsl. ..I hope he will stream sometimes!

Yea; i think they started inviting foreigners due to the lower popularity of sc2 in korea. Gomtv still wants to make money and will use every possibility - and it's still fair as only winners of certain cups get an invitation (?).

Haha, he's good but not that good yet. NaNiwa and Stephano would probably have something to say about that.

While my info is slightly outdated, we don't have much of a hired/full-time/sponsorship culture in Poland when it comes to our nascent progaming (doesn't mean we don't have some exceptionally skilled players but I'd normally expect them to be people who play after hours, "gentleman players" so to say), while we traditionally put a lot of emphasis on formal education, finishing it in time etc., you wouldn't really see people putting this at risk for a gaming career, and I can't really imagine a family that would support that. At least there's no more draft, so if a young player decided to interrupt highschool for full time training and tournament participation, he wouldn't need to deal with that one.
