DRG's apm was so high (600, 900 converted) because that was spike apm during battle and heres how that number massively inflates in sc2 compared to bw well first of all, a big reason apm can get that high anyway is because of spamming the move button with your mouse. its not hard to rightclick 10+ times a second. ive watched DRG's stream plenty times, when moving armies across the map he hits his unit hotkey and spams the right mouse button like 20 times in a second to move that army to where he wants. that there is 1200 apm just moving his units during that second and hes constantly hitting 1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2 between his decisions to make his apm go high next during fights and moments of high apm he usually presses his hatcheries and holds down Z or R spiking his apm to 600+ as he makes zerglings and roaches none of thats really possible in BW (actually, it is possible to spam the right mouse button in BW and lots of apm is inflated from that in bw, however you cant spam the mouse button too much because your constantly boxing your units to move them across the map or hotkeying fighting groups moving them) as much as i think apm is kind of a silly statistic, in reality its kind of all we have to look at a players speed so. meh. i guess we will always be using it in our conversations and whatnot | ||

Map: Entombed Valley. GSL Player A (Terran) @ 7 KeSPA Player C (Protoss) @ 1 Observer disabled viewing hotkeys so we can't distinguish who are the GSL/KeSPA players. | ||
