wcr.4fun Belgium686 Posts July 03 2012 13:55 GMT #60 the carrier can easily fulfull the role of a harrassment, a support unit or simply a unit you'd want your entire army to exist of if they give the option to be micro'd. Right click unit, interceptors fly out and start attacking, immediately right click back to your original position while the interceptors deliver one attack and retreat. Congratulations you have a working carrier. If they could be micro'd you'd be able to actually kill stuff without just dying yourself. They could be used to siege enemy bases while you are having a stand off and thus forcing the opponent to attack you. Maybe upping the dps of the carrier a bit to make it more of a threat? but making necessary adjustments on other areas. Or giving it an upgraded form of interceptor which reduces armor of the unit it attacks or making interceptors untargetable by fungal growth (in conjuction with micro-ability) could help it fulfill a role vs the infestor/broodlord composition (maybe this is already the case?) ? If it were microable you could eject the interceptors without getting in range of fungal growth. Thus allowing them to attack broodlords without getting attacked back. Just some ideas silly or not. I loved the carrier and feel it can be useful. I actually like the idea behind the tempest but they shouldn't give up on the carrier when they haven't even tried the most obvious change they could apply, e.i. making it microable.
