This seems like a perfectly normal fragrance ad to my western eyes. The name is a bit strange (I Hate You), but sounds edgy and that sounds like something a marketer would like. Seems fine.

Not sure why this deserves a thread at all.

it is a little odd that they have M-j as a sponsor but who cares. the more sponsors from different areas we get the better!

Oh, so that's what it is :D

Hot6ix was super epic though, especially the way they introduced it... with the black screen and sudden sound effect... SO dramatic xD

and lol at the commercial, it's ok i guess... i dont watch k drama so i wouldn't know

commercial is pretty long tho o.o is that normal with all korean commercials?

Total normal commercial style for this kind of product. Actually i find it better then most commercials in germany about things like this.
Not every commercial wants to end up in this late night shows, where they show a stack of funny commercials.

I totally agree with the OP. Obviously GOM made a huge strategic mistake when they rejected Samsung, Apple, Google and General Electric when all those major corporations came over and offered GOM hundreds of millions to place ads on its stream. Obviously any one of those would have been much better advertising partners and GOM totally screwed up by rejecting them so thoroughly and repeatedly...

If it was a tanning cream being cold "get brown bro" nobody would give a shit. Cultures are different, what seems wierd to us is normal in korea and vice versa. If monsieur j is helping esports by supporting gom to be able to do these competitions, I couldn't care less what product it is or what their slogan is. They help esports, I love them for that, simple as that.

It's a great sponsorship as Koreans love their skin care. Also, you guys don't really watch the korean streams where there are legit advers (movie trailers and the like). If you don't understand why a tournament gets a sponsor then don't complain. It's still a sponsor..I'm sure they paid the same if not more than others (as SC2 seems to be gaining traction)

I hope they become as successful as hot6 did in korea and sponsors start lining up at GOM's doorstep. Commercial is nice, standard for that product and I think people should tweet/email their support and thanks.

I dont understand the creator of this threads point. It was a good commercial except the "I hate you" thingy which probably is the name(?) of the product showing in that specific commercial which was a little funny. Any sponsor for GSL is great, Pepsi or Monsieur J, who cares, it provides money for the tournament.
