i laughed too. i think it's because i didn't understand anything in the commercial up to that point, and the abrupt "i hate you" seemed hilariously ingenuous.
for the people expecting anything other than obtuse artistic pretension out of a cosmetics advertisement... uh, yeah...

It's just really effective ad Marketing. You can either have your commercial make sense, or have it be completely off base.
An example of this would be you creating a thread about it, because of how odd it was. Their marketing has worked.
Edit: It's like the GEICO commercials; they used to make commercials that were about ANYTHING but insurance. People would often mention that Geico commercials made no sense, but their marketing is working if youre remembering the product and talking about it.

I bet a lot of nerds in here need better skin like Korean players, including me. When I watch Korean team house videos, each player always has at least a few of those lotion bottles. Why not? They have pretty good skin.

COMPANY PROFILE
So instead of talking about how nice or bad the commercial is, I decided to do a little research about where it comes from, and what this can mean for ESPORTS. Unfortunately I could not find much, and perhaps a search in Korean is better siuted, but I did find something.
So first of all, Mr. J is actually Mr. Jung Woo Sung, who apparently is an actor. How big he is, and how famous in Korea is beyond my reach. But having a pretty boy advertising in Sc2 might be a good boost. You can read more in the product site.
Now... Mr. J is actually part of Iljin Cosmetics, which seems quite a large company, as they employ 120 people.
They also say they have a network distribution in Asia and Europe, so I'm sorry to the NA fans, but you might be left out.
So I hope I can steer the discussion to a slightly more serious area. Think about how good/bad this can be for the sport.
My personal opinion is positive. Sure, we could have been sponsored by Cool Light Saber And Exploding Stuff Ltd. and all the gamers would explode with joy, but this might be a perfect sponsor for growth, and we still want this to become a legitimate sport in the public eye, dont we?
